This homemade kefir smoothie is the perfect breakfast or snack. It's filled with a ton of probiotics that are good for gut health.

1 c kefir
1/2 c fruit (fresh or frozen strawberries, peaches, blueberries, bananas ...)
1 - 2 Tbsp honey (adjust to taste)
1/2 c ice cubes (optional)
4 c. kefir
1 c. fruit (fresh or frozen strawberries, peaches, blueberries, bananas ...)
4 - 6 Tbsp. honey (adjust to taste - we like them tangy!)
1/2 - 1 c ice cubes (optional)

Steps:

  • Blend all ingredients in a blender just until smooth.
  • Serve and enjoy!

Kick-start your morning with this probiotic-rich kefir breakfast smoothie. With mango, orange juice, ginger and turmeric, you'll be ready for the day ahead

1 large mango , stoned and chopped
2cm piece ginger , finely grated
½ tsp ground turmeric
200ml fresh orange juice
300ml kefir
1-2 tbsp honey or agave, to taste

Steps:

  • Put all the ingredients in a blender and blitz until completely smooth. Taste and add a little more ginger, turmeric and honey, if you like.
  • Pour into two tall glasses and serve. Can be chilled in a covered jug in the fridge for up to 24 hrs.
