Chocolate Chaffles image

We are adding to our favorite low carb sweet chaffles recipe with this addition of a chocolate chaffle. If you are looking for a little chocolate for your next low carb breakfast, this easy keto recipe is a must try!

Number Of Ingredients 11

1 Egg
2 oz Cream Cheese
1 Tablespoon Coconut Flour
2 Teaspoons Cocoa
1.5 Tablespoons Sweetener
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1 Teaspoons Cinnamon
Coconut Oil Spray
Waffle Maker
1 Teaspoon Butter

Steps:

  • Place cream cheese into a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 20 seconds. (This step is not needed if your cream cheese is at room temperature.)
  • Mix the rest of your chocolate chaffle ingredients including the cocoa in to the bowl with the soft cream cheese.
  • Plug-in your waffle maker and spray with coconut oil. Don't forget to spray your waffle maker!
  • Spoon just enough of your mixed sweet chaffle ingredients on to the waffle maker.
  • Close your waffle maker and wait patiently, yes - it will be hard. Chocolate chaffles, coming soon!
  • The exact cook time varies, depending on your waffle maker. We find that most waffle makers take 2 minutes to cook a chocolate chaffle.
  • Remove your cooked chocolate chaffle and place on a plate.
  • Top with a slice of butter.
  • Enjoy!

Keto Chocolate Chaffles are so easy to make! This great 5-ingredient keto waffle recipe is nut-free, keto, low carb, vegetarian, but most importantly, it's delicious.

1/2 cup Sugar-Free Chocolate Chips
1/2 cup Butter
3 Eggs
1/4 cup Truvia (or other sweetener)
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

Steps:

  • In a microwave safe bowl, melt butter and chocolate for about 1 minute. Remove and stir well. You really want to use the heat within the butter and chocolate to melt the rest of the clumps. If you microwave until it's all melted, you've overcooked the chocolate. So get a spoon and start stirring. Add 10 seconds if needed but stir well before you decide to do that.
  • In a bowl, add eggs, sweetener, and vanilla and blend until light and frothy.
  • Pour the melted butter and chocolate into the bowl in a slow stream and beat again until it is well-incorporated.
  • Pour about 1/4 of the mixture into a Dash Mini Waffle Maker, and cook for 7-8 minutes, or until crispy.
  • Should make 4 waffles, with a little batter left over.

33 grams Kite Hill Almond Cream Cheese, or 1 oz dairy cream cheese
1/8 tsp Pure Monk Fruit Extract
1/8 tsp Almond Flavor Extract
1 Tbsp Virgin Coconut Oil
1.5 tsp Cocoa Powder

Steps:

  • Melt coconut oil and add to your cream cheese.
  • Mix coconut oil and cream cheese together.
  • Beat large egg in a separate bowl.
  • Combine everything together. I like to use hand beaters to make sure it's mixed well.
  • Pour batter into your waffle maker for about 4-5 minutes or until steam stops.
