In a matter of minutes, you can have the best, copycat Rao's Marinara Sauce! With just a few simple ingredients! Super tasty and versatile...you'll skip that expensive store bought jar!

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 Tablespoons Avocado oil (Click here for my favorite brand on Amazon)
1 teaspoon Onion powder
2 cloves Garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Dried basil
1 teaspoon Dried oregano
28 ounce Whole, Peeled tomatoes
1 teaspoon Granular Sweetener (Click here to see my favorite on Amazon) (Optional, see notes)
1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
Pepper to taste

Steps:

  • In a medium size sauce pan, over medium-high heat, add your avocado oil and spices to let the spices bloom.
  • In a blender or using an immersion blender, puree the can of whole tomatoes.
  • Once the spices are bloomed, add in the pureed tomatoes. Let the sauce just heat through, but don't let it simmer. Season with salt, pepper, and sweetener to taste.
  • Remove from the heat and serve.

The perfect staple for keto Italian night, this marinara is ideal for spaghetti sauce, pizza sauce, or low-carb chicken parmesan. This easy sauce is sure to become one of your favorite low-carb recipes.

2 tbsp olive oil
1 crushed and chopped garlic clove
2 tsp oregano
16 ounces of tomato puree
2 tsp monk fruit
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp salt

Steps:

  • In a medium to large saucepan, add olive oil and garlic.
  • Saute over low to medium heat for 3 minutes or until fragrant.
  • Add the tomato puree and stir well.
  • Add the monk fruit, oregano, pepper, and salt.
  • Turn off the heat and stir.
  • Cool the sauce and store in the fridge or eat immediately with your favorite low-carb veggie, pasta, or protein.

I got this receipe from Martha Stewart's website. This great recipe is from "Rao's Cookbook" by Frank Pellegrino. This stuff sells for $7.50 a quart in Florida. I use it with Frankie's Meatball s recipe found here on Recipezaar. This is the "real deal."

112 ounces tomatoes with basil, whole and canned
1/2 cup olive oil
6 tablespoons onions, minced
4 garlic cloves, peeled and minced
1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper, freshly gound
12 fresh basil, torn (optional)
1/4 teaspoon oregano

Steps:

  • Remove tomatoes from can and place in a large bowl, reserving juices. Crush tomatoes using your hands; remove and discard the hard core from stem end, and any skin and tough membrance, set aside.
  • Place oil in a large, nonreactive saucepan over medium-low heat. Add onion, and cook until soft and just beginning to brown, about 3 minutes. Stir in garlic, and cook until softened, about 30 seconds. Stir in tomatoes and reserved juices, season with sale, increase heat and bring to a boil. Immediately reduce heat to low and simmer until slightly thickened, about 1 hour.
  • Stir in basil, if using, oregano, and season with pepper, continue cooking 1 minute more. Remove from heat and serve.
