GARLIC, LEMON, AND HERB RUBBED LEGS



Garlic, Lemon, and Herb Rubbed Legs image

Number Of Ingredients 8

1/3 cup canola oil, plus oil for grate
2 tablespoons grill seasoning
1 tablespoon chopped garlic
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley leaves
2 tablespoons fresh chopped basil leaves
2 tablespoons fresh chopped rosemary leaves
1 1/2 pounds chicken drumsticks

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl stir together all ingredients except the chicken. Reserve 2 tablespoons of the mixture for the grilled flat bread. Add the chicken to the bowl, and toss with herb mixture so that all pieces are well coated. Cover and place in refrigerator for at least 2 hours and as long as overnight.
  • Heat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. Be sure to oil grate when ready to start cooking. Let chicken stand at room temperature for 20 to 30 minutes before grilling.
  • Place chicken on hot, oiled grill and cook for a total of 18 to 20 minutes giving it a quarter turn every 4 to 5 minutes. Transfer chicken to a platter and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

1/2 cup white wine or 1/2 cup marsala
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary, crushed
1/4 cup onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
salt and pepper

Steps:

  • Put drumsticks in a large plastic bag.
  • Mix all remaining ingredients together and add to the drumsticks, turning bag to cover all.
  • Refrigerate for 2 to 4 hours or overnight. Put everything in the crock pot and cook for 5 to 6 hours on low.
  • Place drumsticks in a baking pan and broil for a few minutes to brown, then serve.

  • Put drumsticks in large plastic bag. Mix remaining ingredients; add to drumsticks, turning bag to cover all. Regrigerate for 2-4 hours or overnight.
  • Put everything in the slow cooker; cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours.
  • Place drunsticks on a baking pan and broil for a few minutes to brown, then serve.
