LISA'S GOUTIE RECIPE BY TASTY
Here's what you need: napa cabbage, salt, ground pork, shiitake mushrooms, scallions, sesame oil, ginger, white pepper, large round dumpling wrappers, canola oil, water, dipping sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice wine vinegar

Steps:
- In a medium bowl, combine the cabbage and salt. Toss lightly. Let sit for 10 minutes to withdraw some moisture. Place a colander over a separate bowl. Transfer the cabbage to the colander squeeze out any moisture from the cabbage. Discard the water.
- In a large bowl, combine the drained napa cabbage, ground pork, shiitake, scallions, sesame oil, ginger, remaining teaspoon of salt, and white pepper. Mix well with your hands.
- Put a tablespoon of filling in the middle of a dumpling wrapper. Using your finger, lightly wet half of the outer rim with water.
- Fold the wrapper in half. Using your fingertips, make pleats to seal the dumpling. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
- In a large non-stick pan, heat the oil over medium heat. Place 8 dumplings in the pan and fry until the bottoms turn golden brown, about 5 minutes. Add ¼ cup water (60 ml) and cover. Cook for 7-10 minutes, or until the filling is cooked through. Repeat with the remaining dumplings.
- Serve immediately with dipping sauce.

- Melt butter in a small saucepan; simmer garlic slices in hot butter over low heat until butter turns foamy, about 5 minutes.
- Set oven rack about 6 inches from the heat source and preheat the oven's broiler.

This recipe has been handed down with minor changes, if you love traditional stuffing this is a great one to try. This stuffing is also very good if you add dried cranberries or you favorite nut.

Steps:
- Place bread cubes in a large bowl.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir sausage in the hot skillet until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes. Add onions, celery, 1/2 cup butter, and garlic. Saute until onions appear translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add sage, parsley, savory, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, marjoram, thyme, and nutmeg; mix well. Stir in 1 cup broth.
- Slowly pour broth and sausage mixture over bread cubes, stirring continuously as you pour. Add additional broth and butter as desired.
- Stuffing is ready to bake in the oven or stuff in the bird.

LISA'S LASAGNE
A colorful, tasty dish. Served with garlic bread, this vegetarian lasagne makes an excellent meal for guests.

Steps:
- Heat the oil in a large saucepan. Add the onions and saute for 3 minutes. Add the peppers and saute for 2 minutes. Add the zucchini and saute 3 minutes before adding the tomatoes, tomato paste, garlic and oregano, basil, thyme, salt and pepper. Cover the saucepan and simmer for 20 to 30 minutes (the longer the better as long as the sauce is not sticky.)
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees F (95 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- While the sauce cooks, melt 2 tablespoons butter in a saucepan. Add the flour into the butter, stir vigorously for 2 minutes. Gradually add the milk, stirring until the sauce thickens. Stir in the cheese, reserving as much as you will want to sprinkle on top of the lasagna. Stir the cheese into the flour and butter mixture until it has melted completely. Season with nutmeg, salt, and pepper.
- Soak the lasagna noodles in water for 30 seconds.
- Cover the bottom of the prepared dish with some of the tomato sauce, followed by a layer of the lasagna sheet, and the cheese sauce. Continue layering these ingredients ending with a layer of cheese sauce. Sprinkle the final layer of cheese sauce with nutmeg, salt, pepper, and the reserved cheese.
- Bake the lasagna 40 to 50 minutes, until the top of the lasagna is golden brown.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a medium bowl, mix the olive oil, garlic salt, parsley, chives, pepper, Old Bay Seasoning, and seasoning salt. Rub the chicken breasts with 1/2 the mixture, and place the breasts in a medium baking dish.
- Toss the green bell peppers, tomatoes, and red onion with the remaining olive oil mixture. Arrange over the chicken.
