1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine, melted
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk (NOT evaporated milk)
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 (10 ounce) jar maraschino cherries, drained, patted dry and chopped (without stems)
1 1/3 cups flaked coconut

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (325°F for glass baking pan). In small bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and butter; mix well. Press crumb mixture firmly on bottom of 13x9-inch baking pan.
  • Pour EAGLE BRAND evenly over crumb mixture. Layer evenly with remaining ingredients; press down firmly with fork.
  • Bake 25 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool. Chill if desired. Cut into bars or diamonds. Store covered at room temperature.

Moist,chewy cookie bar with a refreshing contrast to the sweetness of the condensed milk. I put parchment paper in the bottom of the pan and refrigerate for a few hours before removing the parchment and cutting into squares.

1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 (8 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 cup dried cherries

Steps:

  • Combine graham cracker crumbs and butter.
  • Press crumb mixture into 13 X 9 baking pan lined with parchment paper.
  • Pour can of sweetened condensed milk over crumb mixture and spread.
  • Sprinkle dried cherries over milk and press lightly.
  • Bake at 325 degrees for about 20 - 25 minute.
  • Check when edges begin to brown and milk bubbles and starts to turn brown.
  • Note: may also add some white chocolate chips, nuts and coconut - we like them better without all the additional toppings, but to each his own.

1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 ⅓ cups flaked coconut
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).
  • Into bottom of 9 x1 3 pan pour melted margarine. Sprinkle crumbs evenly over melted margarine, chopped nuts over crumbs, then distribute chocolate chips over nuts. Add the coconut and pour milk over all.
  • Bake 25 minutes or until lightly browned on top. Cool 15 minutes before cutting into finger length bars.
