1 tablespoon sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Dash salt
Dash cayenne pepper
1 loaf (1 pound) French bread, cut into 1-inch slices
TOPPING:
6 thick-sliced bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
1 cup butter, melted
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped pecans, toasted
2 tablespoons corn syrup
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
Maple syrup

Steps:

  • Grease a 13x9-in. baking dish; set aside., In a large shallow bowl, whisk the first 10 ingredients. Dip each slice of bread into egg mixture. Arrange slices in prepared dish. Pour remaining egg mixture over top. Cover and refrigerate overnight., Remove from refrigerator 30 minutes before baking. Preheat oven to 350°. In a small bowl, combine the first 8 topping ingredients. Spread over top., Bake, uncovered, 40-45 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. 1/4 cup maple syrup
2 tablespoons sugar

1 teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoon potato starch
1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 stick unsalted butter, at room temperature
1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
4 large egg whites, at room temperature
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup half-and-half, at room temperature
1/2 cup chopped cooked bacon (5 strips)
1 8-ounce package cream cheese, at room temperature
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, at room temperature

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Place paper liners in a 12-cup muffin tin. Prepare the cupcakes: Combine the flours, pudding mix, baking powder, potato starch, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt in a bowl with a whisk.

1-1/4 cups 2% milk
3 large eggs
1/2 cup plus 3 tablespoons packed light brown sugar, divided
1/2 cup canned pumpkin
2 tablespoons maple syrup
2-1/2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice, divided
12 ounces Challah or brioche bread, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
1/4 cup quick-cooking oats
1/4 cup chopped pecans, toasted
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

3 tablespoons butter

3 tablespoons maple syrup
