5 cups Honey Nut Chex
1 cup granola without raisins
1 cup chopped pecans, toasted
1/4 cup butter, cubed
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 package (3-1/2 ounces) dried blueberries
3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips, optional

Steps:

  • In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine the cereal, granola and pecans; set aside. In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine the butter, brown sugar and syrup. Microwave on high for 2 minutes, stirring once. Pour over cereal mixture; toss to coat., Microwave on high for 4 minutes, stirring every minute. Spread onto waxed paper; cool for 5 minutes. Sprinkle with blueberries and chocolate chips. Store in an airtight container.

1 tablespoon water
1 pound pecans
¾ cup white sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C).
  • In a large bowl, beat egg white with water until frothy. Stir in pecans and mix to coat. Combine sugar, cinnamon and salt and stir into pecan mixture. Spread on a baking sheet.
  • Bake in preheated oven 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Store in an airtight container.

2 cups Rice Chex
2 cups Honey-Nut Cheerios
1 cup miniature pretzels
1/2 cup pecan halves, coarsely chopped
1/3 cup maple syrup
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 250°. In a large bowl, combine cereals, pretzels and pecans. , In a small microwave-safe dish, combine maple syrup and butter. Cover and microwave on high 45 seconds or until butter is melted. Stir in vanilla. Pour over cereal mixture and toss to coat., Transfer to a 15x10x1-in. baking pan coated with cooking spray. 6 cups popped popcorn
8 slices peppered bacon, cooked and chopped
3 cups mini pretzel twists
2 cups mixed roasted nuts
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup (2 sticks) butter
1/3 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup dark corn syrup
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
2 teaspoons maple extract

Steps:

  • Line 2 sheet pans with waxed paper, then set aside.
  • Add the popcorn, bacon, pretzels and nuts to a large bowl. Mix and set aside.
  • Add the sugar, butter, maple syrup, corn syrup and salt to a large, heavy-bottomed pot fitted with a candy thermometer and place over a medium-low heat. When the butter has melted, stir together, then turn up the heat to medium-high. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the candy thermometer reads "hard-crack stage" (300 degrees F), 4 to 5 minutes.
  • Remove from the heat and stir in the maple extract. Carefully pour over the snack mix and toss using two wooden spoons. Transfer to the prepared sheet pans and spread out to allow it to cool, about 10 minutes. Break into clusters and transfer to a large serving bowl.

1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
2/3 cup brown sugar
1 cup maple syrup
2 large eggs, beaten
1/4 cup butter
1/4 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup pecan halves
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons flour

Steps:

  • Base: Preheat oven to 350 degrees to cook cookie base.
  • Rub the flour, sugar and butter together in bowl, mix well and press firmly into 8 x 10" pan.
  • Bake for 5 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and set aside.
  • Topping: Combine sugar and syrup in pot.
  • Simmer on stove for 5 minutes.
  • Cool and pour over the beaten eggs.
  • Stirring well add the remaining ingredients.
  • Pour over the partially baked dough and bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes.
  • Reduce heat to 350 degrees and continue to bake for 20 minutes longer.

3 cups rice or corn cereal, such as Crispix or Chex
2 cups mini pretzels
2 cups cheddar crackers or Goldfish, or a combination
1 cup roasted unsalted peanuts
1 cup pepitas

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 275 degrees. Combine maple syrup, butter, vinegar, thyme, cayenne, and 1 teaspoon salt in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring, until butter has melted and mixture is combined. Remove from heat. Stir together remaining ingredients in a large bowl. Drizzle maple mixture over cereal mixture, stirring to evenly coat. Spread on a rimmed baking sheet.
  • Bake, stirring a few times, until crisp and golden, about 1 hour. Let cool completely before serving. Mix can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature up to 1 week.

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • To prepare cake, combine first 5 ingredients, stirring well with a whisk.
