MASTER COOKIE MIX

Steps:

• In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugars, salt and baking soda. Cut in shortening until crumbly. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to 6 months. , Master Cookie Mix may be used to prepare the following recipes (also found in Recipe Finder): Peanut Butter Cookies, Cinnamon Raisin Cookies and Banana Cookies.

MASTER HOLIDAY COOKIE MIX

Steps:

• In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs, egg yolks and vanilla. Combine flour and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well., Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week., Master Cookie Mix may be used to prepare the following recipes: Easy Almond Bars, Chocolate-Hazelnut Pinwheels, Holiday Thumbprint Cookies and Peppermint Twists.

EASY MONSTER COOKIES

Steps:

• Heat oven to 375°F. In large bowl, stir all ingredients except candies until soft dough forms. Stir in candies.
• On ungreased cookie sheets, place about 1/4 cupfuls dough about 3 inches apart.
• Bake 12 to 13 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool 2 minutes; remove from cookie sheets. Cool completely. Store in covered container at room temperature.

Steps:

• In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugars, salt and baking soda. Cut in shortening until crumbly. Store in an airtight container in a cool dry place for up to 6 months.

MASTER COOKIE MIX

Steps:

• In your largest bowl, stir together the flour, baking soda, salt, brown sugar, and white sugar. Add the shortening and stir until mixture is mealy. Lightly stir in the chocolate chips and butterscotch chips until they are distributed evenly. Place 4 cups of the master mix into each 1 quart jar.
• Attach the following directions to the jar: Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). In a medium bowl, beat 2 eggs and 1 teaspoon of vanilla until well blended. Add entire contents of the jar to the bowl, stir until combined. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes. This recipe makes about 2 dozen.

THE MASTER CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE

Steps:

• Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
• Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Mix to combine and set aside.
• Using paddle attachment on mixer, cream butter and sugars together just until blended.
• Add eggs, one a time, mixing well after each addition.
• Add the vanilla.
• Put mixer on low speed, and add in dry ingredients.
• Mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
• Stir in chocolate chips by hand gently.
• It's best to make bigger cookies for the right texture - so I would recommend using 4 Tablespoon size scoop to form your cookies.
• Place on cookie sheet and bake for 15-17 minutes. I like mine to look a little undercooked in the middle, then let them finish cooking on the cookie sheet for a few minutes while they cool. Then move them to a cookie rack or plate to keep cooling.
• If you are freezing these cookies: Form into balls, and freeze on a cookie sheet. After frozen remove and add to a ziploc freezer bag. They will last for about a month in the freezer. To bake just take out and bake as directed, adding a few extra minutes of baking time.
