1 teaspoon granulated sugar
1/3 to 1/2 cup chilled Prosecco

Steps:

  • Mash raspberries and sugar together with a fork. Spoon mixture into a champagne glass and top with Prosecco.

Sparkling Burgundy, chilled
Garnish: spiral of orange peel

Steps:

  • Into a chilled Champagne glass, pour orange juice. Add enough Burgundy to fill the glass and stir lightly to blend. Garnish with orange peel. Serve.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1/2 pound fresh cherries, pitted
1 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup fresh lime juice
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
4 cups seltzer
Ice cubes and fresh mint sprigs, for serving

Steps:

  • Place the pitted cherries in a large mixing bowl. Add the sugar, lime juice and salt. Stir until the cherries are evenly coated. Set aside at room temperature for 1 hour to macerate the cherries.
  • Drain the cherry mixture, collecting and reserving all the juice. Thread the macerated cherries amongst 8 cocktail skewers and set aside for garnish.
  • Stir together the reserved cherry juice and seltzer in a small pitcher.
  • Fill 8 highball glasses with ice cubes. Pour the cherry sparkler over the ice and garnish each glass with a skewer of cherries and a sprig of mint. Serve immediately.

I have a large bottle of ginger ale I need to use up. I found this recipe on line. I have not made it yet.

2 cups Splenda granular, no calorie artificial sweetener
1 (1/4 ounce) envelope kool-aid unsweetened orange kool-aid
1 (1/4 ounce) envelope kool-aid unsweetened strawberry Kool-Aid
3 quarts cold water
1 liter diet ginger ale, chilled

Steps:

  • NOTE: You may want to make this using only 1 cup of Splenda first. Taste it, then add the rest if you need it.
  • Place Splenda and soft drink mixes in large plastic or glass pitcher.
  • Add water and stir until drink mixes are dissolved.
  • Refrigerate until ready to serve.
  • Stir in ginger ale.
  • Serve over ice cubes in 16 tall glasses.
  • Garnish each glass with a fresh orange slice just before serving.

1 cup water
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 cup ripe cherries, pitted
2 ounces vodka
1 ounce fresh lemon juice
1 ounce cherry simple syrup, room temperature
club soda
fresh basil
cherries
lemon wedge

Steps:

  • Syrup: In a small saucepan, heat the water, sgar and cherries until the sugar has completely melted.
  • Using a potato masher, smash the cherries.
  • Strain through a fine mesh strainer and cool over an ice bath, or in the fridge if making ahead.
  • Drink: In a small jam jar filled with ice, add the vodka, lemon juice and cherry simple syrup. Place the lid on and shake.
  • Remove the lid, fill with club soda and garnish as desired.
  • Note:The author likes to serve from jelly jars. I would probably use a cocktail shaker and pour into a glass.
