I got this recipe from my good friend Jackie, who every year would make it for her Grey Cup party. It's great for those who like chili with a kick!

Ingredients

1 lb lean ground beef
1 (29 ounce) can kidney beans
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can Italian stewed tomatoes
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 (8 ounce) jar mild salsa or 1 (8 ounce) jar hot salsa
1 onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon chili powder
1/8 teaspoon cayenne
salt

Steps:

Brown beef with onion& green pepper.
Drain off grease.
Drain juice off kidney beans.
Place everything in large kettle and simmer 2-3 hours.
Stirring occasionally.

1 1/2 lbs ground beef
2 medium onions
1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes
1 (6 ounce) can Italian-style tomato paste
1 cup water
1 beef bouillon cube
1 (40 ounce) can dark red kidney beans
1/2 whole green bell pepper, diced
4 garlic cloves, minced
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons oregano
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon coriander
1 teaspoon cumin
1 1/2 teaspoons crushed red pepper flakes
1 bay leaf
3 tablespoons flour
1/2 cup cold water
3 tablespoons tequila (optional)

Steps:

Combine the ground beef and onions in a kettle until meat is brown.
Drain fat.
Then add the remaining ingredients, except for the flour and 1/2 cup of water.
Stir to blend.
Cover and simmer for 1½ hours, stirring occasionally.
When done, mix the 3 tbsp of flour with the 1/2 cup of cold water into the chili, mixing well until desired thickness.
Remove bay leaf and enjoy.

4 teaspoons cumin seeds
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
3 onions, finely chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 (14.5 ounce) can Italian-style diced tomatoes
1 bunch cilantro, finely chopped
2 roasted red peppers, drained and chopped
2 tablespoons chili powder
3 teaspoons mild paprika
2 teaspoons dried oregano
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 pinch cayenne pepper, or more to taste
1 teaspoon salt, or more to taste
1 (15 ounce) can white beans, rinsed and drained
1 (15 ounce) can black beans, rinsed and drained
1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 teaspoon sherry vinegar, or to taste

Steps:

Toast cumin in a skillet over medium heat until fragrant, being careful not to burn it, about 1 minute. Cool and grind in a mortar and pestle.
Heat oil in a large, heavy pot over medium-low heat and cook onions until soft and translucent, about 10 minutes. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute. Stir in cumin, tomatoes, cilantro, roasted red peppers, chili powder, mild paprika, oregano, smoked paprika, cayenne, and 1 teaspoon salt. Bring to a simmer and cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add all beans and simmer over low heat until flavors are well combined, at least 30 minutes. Season with more salt and sherry vinegar.
