MILK TOAST
Our grandfather always made this for us when we came to visit during Christmas time. This is a great dish to make when it is cold outside and will warm your soul. It is quick and easy to make.

MILK TOAST
Steps:
- Gather the ingredients.
- Toast the day-old brioche bread in the toaster. Softer bread can be toasted longer so it can hold up to the milk in the bowl. Firmer bread can be lightly toasted.
- Generously butter each slice.
- Using a serrated knife, cut the toasted bread into bite-sized cubes.
- In a small bowl, combine the granulated sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
- In a small saucepan, warm the milk just to simmering.
- Place the toasted bread cubes in a bowl and top with the warmed milk. Sprinkle with the desired amount of cinnamon sugar. Enjoy immediately as you would a bowl of cereal.

MILK TOAST
If you're not feeling 100% and would like something simple to eat, this may be just what the doctor ordered. My husband had this when he was growing up and didn't feel well...(I'd be tempted to use sugar instead of the salt, and raisins could be optional...)

My mother used to make this for me all the time when I was little. When I asked her how she learned to make this she said, "My mother used to make it for me when I was little".
