Million Dollar Baked Ziti - seriously delicious! Meat sauce, ziti pasta, and 3 kinds of cheese! The BEST pasta casserole EVER! Can make ahead and refrigerate or freeze for later. Ziti pasta, cream cheese, sour cream, cottage cheese, Italian sausage, spaghetti sauce, and mozzarella cheese. Serve with a simple salad and garlic bread. Great for dinner parties and potlucks! Everyone loves this easy casserole. Super easy to make & tastes like a million bucks!

1 lb ziti pasta
1¼ lb Italian sausage, (casings removed)
2 (24-oz) jars spaghetti sauce
1½ cups cottage cheese
1 (8-oz) package cream cheese, (room temperature)
½ cup sour cream
3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, (divided)
2 large eggs

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350ºF degrees. Spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray. Set aside.
  • Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, cook sausage until no longer pink. Drain fat. Add spaghetti sauce.
  • In a large bowl, mix together cottage cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, eggs, and 1 cup mozzarella cheese. Stir in meat sauce and cooked pasta and pour into prepared baking dish. Top with remaining 2 cups of mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake uncovered for 30 to 40 minutes, until bubbly and topping is golden brown.

16 ounces ziti pasta
32 ounces spaghetti sauce (prefer Prego's Tomato, Onion & Garlic)
6 ounces tomato paste
6 ounces water
16 ounces ricotta cheese
1/8 cup parsley flakes
1 egg
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon pepper
8 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Cook ziti according to package directions.
  • In lasagna pan, pour enough of the spaghetti sauce to cover bottom.
  • Combine all ingredients EXCEPT parmesan and about 1/3 cup of mozzarella. Add cooked ziti and stir to coat well.
  • Pour pasta mixture into prepared lasagna pan. Sprinkle reserved cheeses over top.
  • Cover and bake for 30 minutes at 375 degrees. Remove cover and brown cheese for 10 minutes more.

1 (8 ounce) package spaghetti
1 pound lean ground beef
1 (16 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
½ cup butter, sliced - divided
1 (8 ounce) container cottage cheese
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
¼ cup sour cream
1 (8 ounce) package shredded sharp Cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook spaghetti in the boiling water, stirring occasionally until cooked through but firm to the bite, about 12 minutes. Drain.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir beef in the hot skillet until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes; drain and discard grease. Transfer to a bowl and mix spaghetti sauce into ground beef.
  • Place half the slices of butter into the bottom of a 9x13-inch casserole dish. Spread half the spaghetti into the dish. Mix cottage cheese, cream cheese, and sour cream together in a bowl; spread mixture over spaghetti. Layer remaining spaghetti over creamy mixture. Top with remaining pats of butter.
  • Pour ground beef mixture over spaghetti and spread to cover casserole.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Spread Cheddar cheese over casserole and continue baking until cheese has melted and is lightly browned, about 15 more minutes.
