BAKED OATMEAL BREAKFAST BARS
I wanted an on-the-go oatmeal bar without the artificial ingredients of commercial bars. This is the base for the bars, a recipe easily modified to suit your own tastes.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 8-inch square pan.
- Combine oats, brown sugar, white sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon together in a bowl. Whisk milk, eggs, canola oil, and vanilla extract together in a separate bowl. Stir egg mixture into oats mixture until well combined; set aside until flavors blend, about 20 minutes. Spread oats mixture into prepared square pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven until edges are golden brown, about 30 minutes.

- In a mixing bowl, combine oats, sugar and salt. Stir in remaining ingred. and mix well. Press into 10x15 inch cookie sheet. Bake at 425 for 15-17 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool on wire rack.

- Combine dry ingredients in a bowl.
- Place butter, honey and glucose in a pan and stir over low heat until butter has melted. Pour over dry ingredients and mix well.
- Press mixture firmly into a foil-lined 18cmx28cm lamington pan.
- Sprinkle with exta milo & refrigerate until firm, cut into bars.

- Triple Chocolate Milo Cookie. Total Time: 45 mins. Ingredients: 250g dark chocolate (chopped into chunks), 2 cups plain flour (plus 1/4 cup , 4 tsp baking powder, 1/4 brown sugar, 1 cup Milo, 150g melted butter, 1 egg (lightly beaten), 1 tsp vanilla, 1-2 tbsp milk (if needed), pinch of salt.
- Gooey Milo Brownies. Total Time: 1 hour. Yields: 16 pieces. Ingredients: 200g milk chocolate (chopped), 125g butter (chopped), 3 eggs, 1 cup caster sugar, 1/2 cup Milo, 1/2 cup plain flour.
