THE MOST AMAZING APPLE PIE RECIPE EVER
Steps:
- First, began by washing and peeling your apples.
- Then, you're going to squeeze half a lemon into your sliced apples, to keep them from turning brown. **Be sure to watch out for lemon seeds!**
- Next, you're going add in your 1/2 cup of water, 1/2 cup of granulated sugar, 1/2 cup of brown sugar, cut your 2 tablespoons of butter into little cubes, and add them into the bowl.
- Then, add 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, 1 tablespoon of vanilla flavoring or lemon flavoring and 3 tablespoons of flour.**Be sure to fold in your ingredients, and not stir because you don't want to break your apples.**
- I cooked my pie crust by itself in the oven for about to 10 minutes on 350 degrees. To ensure that the bottom layer of my pie crust was done.
- Now that my piece crust is finished I can begin, to fill it with the apple filling.
- Add your top layer of pie crust, score the top, and brush with melted butter. I also sprinkled a little brown and white sugar on top.
- Bake your pie for about 45 minutes on 350 degrees.

- Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Stir together the sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a small bowl; set aside. Press one of the pastries into the bottom of a 9-inch pie pan; reserve the crust.
- Toss the apples with maple syrup and vanilla extract. Spread 1/3 of the apples into the pie pan and sprinkle with the sugar mixture. Repeat the layers with the remaining apples and sugar. Cover the pie with the top crust and pinch the edges to seal.
- Bake in the preheated oven until the crust is golden brown, 30 to 35 minutes. Allow to cool before serving.

AWESOME APPLE PIE-LETS
Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a medium nonstick pot on the stove, combine sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and salt with 1/2 cup cold water. Mix until the ingredients dissolve. Add apples and stir. Bring to medium-high heat and, stirring frequently, cook until apples have softened, about 7 to 10 minutes.
- Reduce heat to low and, stirring often, cook until thick and gooey, 1 to 2 additional minutes. Transfer to a bowl and set aside to cool. This is your pie filling.
- Prepare a large baking sheet by lining it with foil and/or spraying it with nonstick spray. Set aside.
- Place egg roll wrappers flat on a dry surface. Set out a small dish of water. Dip your finger into the water, and run it along all of the wrapper edges. Repeat as needed while preparing your pockets, as it will help seal them. Starting 1/2 inch from the bottom, place about 1/3 cup pie filling along the bottom half of each wrapper, leaving a 1/2-inch border on the sides.
- Fold the top 1/2 of each wrapper over the filling, so that the top edge meets the bottom and the filling is encased with a border on 3 sides. Dab each border with water, and fold each inward about 1/4 inch to lightly seal. Press firmly along the borders with the prongs of a fork to seal completely.
- Carefully transfer to the baking sheet. Repeat this process with remaining wrappers and filling, leaving you with 6 pie-lets.
- Spray the top of each pocket with 3 sprays butter. Bake in the oven until the edges begin to brown, 15 to 18 minutes.
- Allow to cool for 5 minutes. Top with additional cinnamon and whipped topping, if using. Dig in!

MOST AWESOME APPLE PIE IN THE WHOLE WORLD
This is my great-grandmother's apple pie recipe. It has a delicious crumble topping and just enough spice. The pie is better (obviously) with a home-made bottom crust. I use the "most incredible no fail pie crust" recipe also available on recipezaar. It's really not that hard and you can make it a week ahead of time and roll it out when you need it. Prep time does not include making pie crust.

Steps:
- combine apples with white sugar, cinnamon, and 1 Tablespoon flour.
- pour apple mixture into unbaked pie crust.
- cut together 1/2 cup butter, 1/2 cup brown sugar, and 1 cup flour until crumbly.
- pour crumble mixture on top of apples. Pack down slightly with fingers.
- Bake at 400 F for 50-60 mins, until topping is a medium golden brown.
- If the edges of your crust begin to look more cooked than the middle of the pie, you may cover the edges with foil for the last 20 minutes.
- let sit for 15 minutes before serving (to allow the pie to firm up).

I found this recipe years ago on PBS - America's Test Kitchen. It is the only apple pie I will make!! It has just the right amount of seasonings... Best I have ever tasted, and easy to make too!

- Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
- Peel, Core, & Slice apples into a large mixing bowl. Lightly toss with 1 tablespoon of lemon juice while slicing the apples.
- In seperate medium sized mixing bowl, mix together 3/4 cup white sugar, flour, salt, nutmeg, cinnamon, & allspice, mix until well blended.
- Next, pour sugar mixture over the apples. Toss lightly until apples are well covered with the sugar mixture.
- Pour into bottom 9 inch pie shell, then cover with the top 9 inch pie crust. brush top pie crust with melted butter or margarine, and sprinkle with 1-2 tablespoons of sugar.
- Bake for 25 minutes at 425 degrees. Then turn the oven down to 350 degrees and continue to bake for another 30-35 minutes.
- Cool ~ serve with whipped topping or ice cream. Enjoy!

THE BEST HOMEMADE APPLE PIE
This classic apple pie recipe is a favorite dessert for Thanksgiving. It has the perfect homemade apple pie filling and flaky crust!

- In a bowl, stir together the flour and salt. Mix with fork until combined.
- Add in cubed butter and break up into flour with a fork. This mixture will still have small lumps - that's perfectly fine.
- Slowly pour in the ice water and continue to mix with a fork until the dough starts to come together (you might find it helpful to just use your hands to help the dough come together at this point). You may not use all of the water, but if the dough feels dry then add more. The dough should not be sticky.
- Work the dough into a ball shape and wrap in plastic wrap. Place dough in the fridge for about an hour.
- While the dough is chilling, peel, core and cut the apples into small pieces (you can do slices or cubes - whatever you prefer). Add all the cut apples into a bowl along with sugar, brown sugar, flour, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and lemon juice. Mix together until all the apples are coated, then set bowl aside.
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Lightly dust a surface with flour. Remove the dough from the fridge and the plastic wrap and set on the floured surface. Cut the dough ball in half. Roll each half out in a circle that is about 1/8" thick.
- Place one of the rolled out circles of dough into a 8 or 9 inch pie pan. Make sure that the dough covers the entire pan (trim off any overhang if necessary).
- Add the pie filling to the pie crust.
- Place the other half of the pie dough on top of the apple filling.
- Trim the extra dough off the edges and pinch the pie dough edges together to make a "crimp" or wave pattern around the edge of the pie. You will want to make sure that all the edges are tightly sealed so that your apple filling doesn't escape while baking!
- Using a pastry brush, brush the top pie crust and edges with the beaten egg. Sprinkle the remaining sugar on top.
- Using a sharp knife, cut at least 4 slits in the top of the pie (you can make any design you want).
- Bake for 50-60 minutes in the preheated oven or until the crust is a golden brown color. Allow to cool and serve.
- We love to top ours with vanilla ice cream or freshly whipped cream. Serves 8-10, depending on what size of slices you serve.
