Categories     Side Dish     Stuffing and Dressing Recipes     Quick and Easy Stuffing and Dressing Recipes

Time 50m

Yield 12

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 pound bacon, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
½ cup butter
1 cup finely chopped onion
1 cup chopped celery
2 tablespoons poultry seasoning (such as Bell's®)
2 loaves day-old white bread, torn into small pieces
2 eggs, beaten

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Place bacon in a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat until cooked through but still slightly soft, 5 to 10 minutes. Drain the bacon slices on paper towels, retaining bacon drippings in the skillet.
  • Melt butter in a separate skillet over medium-high heat; saute onion and celery until softened, about 5 minutes. Stir bacon and poultry seasoning into onion mixture.
  • Mix onion-bacon mixture and bread pieces together in a large bowl; fold in eggs. Spoon bread mixture into muffin cups.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until tops are crispy, about 25 minutes.

MY HUSBAND'S WISCONSIN THANKSGIVING STUFFING

My Husband's Wisconsin Thanksgiving Stuffing image

This recipe is great if you like meat (and by that I mean sausage). This is not your typical cornbread stuffing and taste nothing like it. So, if your looking for that taste, this recipe is not for you. However, if you like a savory stuffing, give this one a try. I personally find this very very tasty and have not had complaints about it yet. This would also be good to make on a cold winter day. I think of it more as a comfort food. Don't count your calories with this one, just enjoy it!

Provided by Chef Boy R Bellin

Categories     Whole Turkey

Time 2h45m

Yield 6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 11

turkey giblets
2 1/2 cups croutons
2 1/2 teaspoons salt (may be salty to start with so start with 1 1/2 and increase from there)
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 lb pork sausage (save grease)
10 1/2 ounces celery soup
1 teaspoon marjoram
2 eggs
1 onion, chopped
1 cup sauerkraut
pepper

Steps:

  • Boil giblets in water. Put giblets plus water and other ingredients into blender. Stuff turkey and bake. Enjoy.
  • Note: Cooking times vary so do not follow what is listed but rather how big the turkey you are using is. If you did not want to stuff into turkey you could bake in a pan separate. I do not have temperature or times for that though because we use the turkey method.
