BUTTERMILK COOKIES
These are a soft, delicious, sugar cookie but with a hint of buttermilk. A friend of mine gave this recipe to me years ago and my family loves them so much that I have a hard time keeping them in the cookie jar! You can sprinkle the tops of these with a little granulated sugar just before baking or ice after completely cooled.

BUTTERMILK COOKIES
These are great for showers, tea times, or just because. These are delicate cookies with an old fashioned taste. I real must in the summer with a glass of lemonade on the side.. I listed shortening or lard. I prefer the lard to be honest. Its not the healtiest choice for some, just the orginal recipe calls for lard. Never messed with perfection when I found it...

GRANDMA AMICO'S BUTTERMILK SUGAR COOKIE CUTOUTS
Grandma Amico made the best buttermilk sugar cookies. These cookies are soft and fluffy and a family tradition for us. Not just for the holidays, but whenever we get the urge for cookies, we make these. I will also leave dough in the fridge for up to a week and make cookies whenever I like. Dough freezes well for later cookie baking.
