This homemade Supreme Pizza is made in less than 30 minutes with extra flavorful ingredients. It tastes like a real thing, even better than takeout, and comes with a delicious crispy crust.

1/2 lb ground Italian sausage
1 tsp olive oil
16 oz pizza dough
4 tbsp Marinara sauce
14 slices uncured pepperoni
1/2 green Bell Pepper
3 baby Bella mushroom
1/4 red onion
3 tbsp black olives
1/2 cup shredded cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 500F degrees. Place cast-iron skillet that you will be using to make pizza in the range while it's preheating.
  • Cook the sausage on medium-high heat. Use a wooden spoon to break the large chunks of meat into small ones. Use a well-seasoned skillet, so no oil is needed.
  • Carefully take the hot skillet out of the oven, add a teaspoon of olive oil, use a paper towel to coat with oil inside.
  • Take the dough, stretch it in your hands before placing it in the skillet. Use your hands to form the crust; use your fingers to make a rim.
  • Start layering pizza: add and spread marinara sauce, add cooked Italian sausage, add pepperoni, green peppers, sliced mushrooms, diced onion, sliced olives, sprinkle with cheese. Place in the oven and bake for 15 minutes. Allow cooling time for the cheese to set before slicing.

1 teaspoon olive oil
1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
1/2 lb mixed mushrooms, thinly sliced
1 small onion, sliced into rings (optional)
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 lb pizza dough (purchased or homemade)
1 cup canned no-salt-added tomato sauce
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
8 ounces part-skim mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced

Steps:

  • In a large nonstick skillet, heat the oil over moderate heat.
  • Add the bell peppers and saute for 5 minutes or until crisp-tender.
  • Add the mushrooms, onion slices (if using), oregano and salt, and cook for 4 minutes or until the mushroom liquid has evaporated.
  • Set aside.
  • Preheat the oven to 450°F
  • Spray a 12-inch pizza pan or large baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Pat the dough into a 12-inch round.
  • Cover and let stand in a warm spot for 25 minutes or until doubled. Bake for 5 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, combine the tomato sauce and cinnamon.
  • Spoon over the pizza.
  • Top with the pepper mixture and the mozzarella.
  • Bake for 15 minutes or until the cheese has melted and the crust is browned.

2 flat bread, lebanese breads
cooking spray
300 g button mushrooms, thickly sliced
250 g swiss brown mushrooms, thickly sliced
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1/3 cup flat leaf parsley, chopped
60 g baby spinach leaves
1/3 cup pimento stuffed green olive, sliced
1/2 cup reduced-fat tasty cheese, shredded
180 g low fat fresh ricotta, crumbled

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 220C/200C fan forced. Place bread on baking trays; spray with oil. Bake 5 minutes or until heated.
  • Meanwhile, spray mushrooms with oil. Heat a large frying pan over moderate heat. Cook and stir mushrooms, in batches, for 2 minutes or until tender. Transfer to large heatproof bowl; stir in garlic, vinegar parsley and spinach until combined and spinach wilts slightly.
  • Spread bread with paste; top with mushroom mixture, olives and cheeses. Bake for 10 minutes or until bread is crisp.

  • In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the dough hook, add water, then sprinkle with the yeast. Allow to sit 5 minutes. The yeast should turn frothy. Add the olive oil, sugar, and salt and mix. Add the whole wheat flour and mix again. With the motor running, add the all-purpose flour a little at a time until the desired consistency is reached. The dough should pull away from the sides and bottom of the bowl. It may still be a little tacky, but should not completely stick to your fingers, nor should it crumble or break into pieces.
  • Transfer dough to a floured counter or board and knead a few minutes before forming into a tight ball. Place the dough ball in a large greased or oiled bowl and cover with a sheet of plastic wrap that has been sprayed with non-stick spray. Place the bowl in a warm spot until doubled in size, about 1 1/2 hours.
  • Punch the dough down and cut it in half, reserving one half for another use. Using your hands, gently stretch the dough into a square a bit before placing it on the baking sheet and continuing to spread it out.
