Orange Cranberry Margaritas image

The Orange Cranberry Margarita is an easy holiday cocktail recipe for Thanksgiving and Christmas! The sweetness of the orange complements the tartness of the cranberries, making it a big crowd pleaser.

1.5 ounces tequila , (jigger)
3 ounces cranberry juice, (not cocktail)
3/4 ounce orange juice, (small jigger)
3/4 ounce triple sec, (small jigger)
3/4 ounce lime juice, (small jigger)
1/2 tablespoon sugar, (to taste)
sparkling water to top off drink, (optional)
fresh cranberries and orange slices to garnish, (optional)
1.5 cup tequila
3 cups cranberry juice
3/4 cup orange juice
3/4 cup triple sec
3/4 cup lime juice
3-4 tablespoon sugar
sparkling water to top off drink, (optional)
fresh cranberries and orange slices to garnish, (optional)

Steps:

  • Salt or sugar the rim of your glass.
  • Combine all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker and fill with ice. Shake until combined and then strain into your prepared glass over ice.
  • Top with sparkling water if desired, and add cranberries and orange slice to garnish.
  • Combine all the ingredients except the sparkling water in a pitcher and stir to combine. Keep chilled in the fridge until ready to serve.
  • When ready to serve, salt the rims of 4-6 glasses. Add ice to each glass and pour the margaritas over the ice.
  • Top with sparkling water if desired, and add cranberries and orange slice to garnish.

1 teaspoon white sugar, or as needed
1 teaspoon salt, or as needed
ice cubes
1 orange, sliced
1 lime, sliced
4 ounces 100% cranberry juice (such as Ocean Spray® Organic)
2 ounces silver tequila (such as Patron®)
1 ounce triple sec
1 orange, juiced
1 lime, juiced
8 ounces lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage (such as Squirt®)

Steps:

  • Rim 2 wine glasses with sugar and salt. Fill with ice. Add an orange slice and lime slice to each glass.
  • Pour cranberry juice, tequila, triple sec, orange juice, and lime juice into a shaker. Shake well.
  • Pour mixture evenly over ice in rimmed glasses. Top with lemon-lime beverage.
