BACON WRAPPED ASPARAGUS
Bacon wrapped asparagus are great for a Whole30 dinner side dish, snack, or party appetizer!

Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F, and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Separate the asparagus stalks into 4 per bundle, and place them on the baking sheet. You should get 8 bundles or so.
- Cut each slice of bacon in half. You should have 8 pieces of bacon now.
- Wrap each piece of bacon around each bundle of asparagus.
- Whisk together all remaining ingredients in a measuring cup with a pour spout. Drizzle the vinaigrette over the bundles evenly.
- Bake for 15 minutes, no need to flip half-way through.
- To reheat leftover bundles, place them back in the oven at 350 until sizzling.

- Pre-heat oven to 400F degrees. Line a medium baking sheet pan with parchment paper and set aside
- Gather 3 asparagus stalks at a time and wrap with a slice of bacon, starting from the bottom. Place bacon wrapped asparagus bundle bacon-ends side down. Repeat until done
- Bake for 16 minutes. I did not need to turn. When done switch oven setting to broiler and cook for 2-3 minutes depending on your preference of crispiness.

- Place asparagus in a large bowl. Pour olive oil over spears and coat each one. Wrap 2 to 3 spears with 1 slice of bacon. Repeat with remaining asparagus and bacon.
- Preheat an outdoor grill for medium heat and lightly oil the grate. Grill asparagus until bacon is crispy, 3 to 4 minutes per side. Season with pepper.

BACON WRAPPED ASPARAGUS
Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Divide the asparagus spears into 8 bundles. Wrap each bundle in the middle of the spears with one piece of bacon. Place the bundles seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle with the olive oil and sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper. Bake until the bacon is fully cooked, about 25 minutes.
- Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Sprinkle the flour over the butter and stir. Cook until the mixture is golden brown and has a nutty aroma, about 1 minute. Stir in the mustard powder, onion powder, nutmeg and remaining 1/2 teaspoon each salt and pepper. Slowly whisk in the milk a little at a time and continue cooking and whisking until the mixture thickens, 2 to 3 minutes. Stir in the cheese until melted, then take off the heat.
- Carefully transfer the bacon bundles to a serving platter. Pour the cheese sauce over the asparagus and sprinkle with the fried onions. Serve warm.
PALEO AND WHOLE 30 BACON WRAPPED ASPARAGUS

- Preheat oven to 425.
- Line a baking sheet with foil or a non-stick cooking spray. OR cover a baking sheet with a baking rack (to drain the grease from the bacon).
- Bundle asparagus into groups of four and wrap with one piece of bacon. Place spread apart on baking ban/rack.
- Drizzle olive oil and sprinkle seasoning on top of the bundles.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes depending on desired crispiness of bacon. Serve immediately.

- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F and line large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone baking mat.
- To trim asparagus, snap the end of one spear and cut remaining asparagus same length with a knife. Usually 2-3" off, that's the chewy stringy part you don't wanna eat.
- Lay asparagus in a bunch on a baking sheet, drizzle with oil, and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Tos to coat with your hands. Divide into 4 or 8 groups, and wrap bacon slice around each bunch, tucking it in under tightly.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until bacon is a bit crispy. Do not overbake to crispy bacon because asparagus will be overcooked.
