Easy Apple Crisp image

If you love the flavors baked apples and cinnamon, you'll love this gluten-free apple crisp recipe without oats! The almond flour crumble topping couldn't be easier to make.

4 large apples ((about 2 lbs.) peeled, cored, and chopped)
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1/4 cup coconut sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon ( or pie spice)
1-1/2 cups almond flour
1 cup chopped pecans
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
1/4 cup coconut oil (melted)
1/4 cup honey or maple syrup

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease deep dish pie plate or cast iron skillet.
  • Toss apples, lemon juice, coconut sugar, and cinnamon together in a large bowl. Pour into the prepared pie plate or skillet.
  • Combine almond flour, pecans, salt, coconut oil, and honey in a medium bowl. Stir just until combined and crumble over apples.
  • Bake 45-50 minutes until fruit is bubbling and topping is golden brown. If topping browns too quickly, cover loosely with foil.
