Steps:
- Make the seasoning mix: Combine the paprika, sugar and onion powder in a small bowl. Store in an airtight container for up to 6 months.
- Make the barbecue spaghetti: Combine the ketchup, both sugars, 1 1/2 teaspoons pepper, the onion powder, mustard powder, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, cider vinegar, 1/3 cup seasoning mix and 1 cup water in a large pot or Dutch oven. Bring to a boil over high heat, stirring frequently to prevent the sauce from sticking to the pot. Reduce the heat to low and simmer, uncovered, 1 hour.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the bell pepper and onion and cook, stirring, until the vegetables soften, about 5 minutes. Add the sauteed vegetables and pulled pork to the sauce and continue to simmer, 1 more hour.
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the spaghetti as the label directs. Drain, then add to the pot with the sauce and toss.

JO MAMA'S WORLD FAMOUS SPAGHETTI
My kids will give up a steak dinner for this spaghetti. It is a recipe I have been perfecting for years and it is so good (if I may humbly say) that my kids are disappointed when they eat spaghetti anywhere else but home! In fact they tell me I should open a restaurant and serve only this spaghetti and garlic bread. In response to requests, I have posted the recipe for Recipe #28559 that uses approximately 1/2 of the sauce from this recipe. Have spaghetti one night and lasagna later! Thanks to all of you who have tried my recipe and have written a review. I read and appreciate every one of them! Chef Note: After I posted this recipe I remembered a funny incident--my dear husband usually has a nice bottle of wine handy so when I make a batch of spaghetti I just help myself to a splash of it. On one occasion, there wasn't a bottle opened, but there was a bottle sitting on the counter so I got out the corkscrew and helped myself. For some reason, the spaghetti that night was the best ever. My husband asked what wine I put in it and I showed him the bottle. He nearly fell off the chair. I had opened a rather expensive bottle he had bought to give his boss. Goes to show you--don't use a wine for cooking you wouldn't drink. You get the best results from a good wine!

Steps:
- In large, heavy stockpot, brown Italian sausage, breaking up as you stir.
- Add onions and continue to cook, stirring occasionally until onions are softened.
- Add garlic, tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato sauce and water.
- Add basil, parsley, brown sugar, salt, crushed red pepper, and black pepper.
- Stir well and barely bring to a boil.
- Stir in red wine.
- Simmer on low, stirring frequently for at least an hour. A longer simmer makes for a better sauce, just be careful not to let it burn!
- Cook spaghetti according to package directions.
- Spoon sauce over drained spaghetti noodles and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.

PATRICK'S BAKED SPAGHETTI
This is a very rich and creamy, non-tomatoey, (even though it includes some tomato), baked spaghetti. It's my most-requested recipe from friends. I gave the ingredients a lot of thought before preparing it the first time and it came out just right -- I've never changed it over the two years I've been making it. Reasonable substitutions won't hurt this recipe -- use what you have. This is a simple recipe and most beginners can easily prepare it.

Steps:
- Pre-heat the oven to 350-degrees F.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil and add the diced oinions, green chilis, and minced garlic. When the onions begin to develop some brown tips, add the Italian seasoning, mushrooms, diced tomatoes, garlic powder, salt, half of the chicken broth, spaghetti sauce, and the browned burger. Reduce to a simmer, stir, and after 5 minutes, turn off the heat.
- Spray a very large casserole dish with the cooking spray, (I use two of the large aluminum throw-away baking pans, about 11" x 16", with the high sides, one inside the other for stability), and ladle in about 1 cup of the finished sauce, then layer on half of the cooked spaghetti. Dot the top with the cheddar cheese soup. Ladle on about half of the remaining sauce and cover it with the cheddar cheese.
- Layer on the remaining spaghetti. Mix the remaining chicken broth with the cream of celery soup and pour it over the spaghetti, (it will mostly run down inside.) Then cover the spaghetti with the remaining sauce and top it with the Monterey Jack cheese. Sprinkle the dried basil over the top.
- Place the casserole on the lower-middle rack, uncovered, and baked for 35-40 minutes, or until there are some light brown spots here and there on top. Allow to stand for 15 minutes prior to serving.
- NOTE: if you want this dish to taste a little less rich, don't use the shredded cheddar cheese. You can also increase the amount of spaghetti used without much change in the dish's flavor or consistency.

SPAGHETTI ALLA PUTTANESCA
Capers and black olives give this tomato sauce a briny, unique flavor. Spaghetti noodles are preferable because they will trap the sauce ingredients.
