PEANUT BUTTER TURTLE CANDIES
Every year at the holidays, these candy turtles are a huge hit with family, friends and coworkers. I get lots of requests for more and have even been told not to bother with a holiday visit if I don't bring my turtles-talk about a compliment! - On waxed paper-lined pans, arrange pecan halves in clusters of three., In a small bowl, beat peanut butter and butter until blended; gradually beat in confectioners' sugar. In a microwave, melt candy coating and shortening; stir until smooth., Spoon 1/4 teaspoon melted chocolate into the center of each pecan cluster. Place teaspoonfuls of peanut butter mixture in the center of each cluster; press down slightly. Spoon remaining melted chocolate over tops. Chill for 10 minutes or until set. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

- Beat the confectioners' sugar, peanut butter, melted butter, vanilla extract and salt with an electric mixer until well combined. Roll rounded teaspoons of the mixture into round balls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Roll the peanut butter balls in any or all of the possible truffle accompaniments. Chill until firm, about 20 minutes. These truffles are best served very chilled.

- Heat oven to 350°F. In large bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and peanut butter with electric mixer on medium speed until creamy. Beat in egg until blended. Add Bisquick mix, beating on low speed just until blended. Stir in toffee bits, peanuts and 2/3 cup of the chocolate chips. Onto ungreased cookie sheets, drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart; flatten with hand.
- Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheets to cooling racks. In microwavable bowl, microwave caramels and 2 tablespoons of the whipping cream uncovered on High 1 minute; stir. Microwave 1 minute longer, stirring every 30 seconds, until caramels are melted and mixture is smooth; add remaining 1 tablespoon whipping cream, if necessary. Stir in vanilla. Spoon caramel mixture onto tops of cookies. Melt remaining 2/3 cup chocolate chips; drizzle over caramel.

- Line an 8-in. square pan with foil; grease foil with 1 teaspoon butter., In a small saucepan, combine honey and remaining butter over medium heat; cook and stir until blended. Stir in peanut butter until smooth. Remove from heat; whisk in confectioners' sugar and vanilla. Spread into prepared pan. Refrigerate, covered, 2 hours or until firm., Place peanuts in a shallow bowl. Using foil, lift candy out of pan. Remove foil; cut candy into 64 squares. Shape squares into balls; roll in peanuts. Store between layers of waxed paper in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

- Preheat oven to 350°. Beat first 4 ingredients at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy. Add egg, beating until blended. Add baking mix, beating at low speed just until blended. Stir in toffee bits, chopped peanuts, and 2/3 cup chocolate morsels.
