CHOCOLATE PECAN PIE SNACK MIX

Steps:

• In a large bowl, combine cereals and pecans. In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine brown sugar, butter and corn syrup. Microwave, uncovered, on high for 2 minutes, stirring once. Whisk in baking soda. Pour over cereal mixture; toss to coat., Cook the cereal mixture in batches on high in a microwave-safe bowl for 3 minutes, stirring every minute. Spread onto waxed paper-lined baking sheets to cool completely. In a microwave, melt chocolate chips and shortening; stir until smooth. Drizzle over cereal mixture; refrigerate until set., Break into pieces. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.

APPLE PIE CHEX MIX

Steps:

• In large microwavable bowl, mix cereals and walnuts.
• In 2-cup microwavable measuring cup, microwave butter on High 30 seconds or until melted. Stir in brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg uncovered for about 1 minute, until smooth and bubbly. Pour over cereal mixture; stir until evenly coated.
• Microwave uncovered on High 4 minutes, stirring after each minute. Spread on waxed paper or foil to cool. Sprinkle apples evenly over cereal mixture.
• In small microwavable bowl, microwave white vanilla baking chips and shortening uncovered on High about 1 minute or until chips can be stirred smooth. Drizzle over cereal mixture; let stand until set. Break into bite-size pieces. Store in airtight container.

PEACH COBBLER CHEX PARTY MIX

Steps:

• In large microwavable bowl, place cereal and pecans.
• In 2-cup microwavable measuring cup, microwave butter, brown sugar and corn syrup uncovered on High 1 minute 30 seconds, stirring after 1 minute, until mixture is boiling; stir. Pour over cereal mixture, stirring until evenly coated. Microwave uncovered on High 5 minutes, stirring after every minute. Toss in peaches.
• Spread on waxed paper. Cool 5 minutes. Store loosely covered.

CHEX PARTY MIX, MAPLE NUT, CON QUESO AND CARAMEL CRUNCH MIX.

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
• Melt butter in a roasting pan in oven.
• Mix in seasonings.
• Gradually stir in all dry ingredients.
• Toss well.
• Bake at 250* for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
• Spread on paper towel to cool.

• Melt the butter, sugar, extract together.
• Toss with remaining ingredients.
• Bake at 225* for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
• Cool on paper towels.

• Melt butter in a pan in the oven-stir in taco mix.
• Gradually add cereals, crackers and chips, stirring well.
• Bake at 250* for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
• Cool on apaer towel to cool.

• Combine cereals, popcorn and nuts in an open pan.
• Melt other ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
• Reduce heat and simmer 3 min.
• Pour over cereal and toss well.
• Bake at 250* for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
• I think the reason some of these recipes call for melting in a roasting pan is to keep the dishes down.

SWEET PARTY MIX

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C). Lightly grease a large roasting pan.
• In a large bowl, mix crispy corn and rice cereal, slivered almonds and toasted, chopped pecans.
• In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and mix with dark corn syrup and light brown sugar. Pour the mixture over the crispy corn and rice cereal mixture. Stir and shake to coat all the nuts and cereal.
• Pour the coated mixture into the prepared roasting pan. Stirring approximately every 15 minutes, cook 1 hour in the preheated oven. Cool on wax paper, and store in airtight containers.

WHITE CHOCOLATE CHEX PARTY MIX

Steps:

• In a VERY large bowl (or two medium bowls), combine the first 5 ingredients. Set aside.
• In a microwave safe bowl, heat white chips and oil on high for 60 seconds (you could also melt chocolate and oil in a double boiler pan). Stir and microwave for another 30 seconds and stir until completely melted and smooth (you may need to microwave for a couple more seconds). Pour melted chocolate over cereal mix and stir until all the cereal is evenly covered with white chocolate. Spread cereal mix on 2 large baking sheets (I used cookie sheets) lined with wax paper. Let cool and then break apart into chunks.
• Store in an air tight container.

CANDIED PECAN CHEX™ MIX

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 300° F. Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper.
• In a mixing bowl, whisk together sugars, cinnamon, salt and cayenne until evenly combined; set aside. In second large mixing bowl, combine Chex™, pecans and pretzels. Add in the egg whites, and toss for 1-2 minutes, or until the mixture is evenly coated. Add the sugar mixture, and continue tossing until the mixture is evenly coated.
• Spread the mixture out evenly on the two prepared baking sheets. Bake for 20 minutes, then remove from the oven and toss the mixture for even cooking, breaking up chunks if needed. Bake for an additional 20-25 minutes, or until the mixture is crisping up and is no longer moist. (It will continue to crisp as it cools.) Remove from the oven and place on a cooling rack until the mix reaches room temperature.
• Break the mix up into small pieces if desired, then serve immediately or store in a sealed container for up to 2 weeks.

TREVOR'S CHEX PARTY MIX

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
• Place butter in a 13x9 inch pan.
• Melt in oven.
• Add all seasonings and mix WELL.
• Add remaining ingredients, mix well.
• Bake 15 minutes, stir well.
• Bake another 15 minutes, stir well.
• Bake another 15 Minutes, stir well.
• Bake another 15 miutes.
• Take out of oven and let cool on paper toweling.
• Beware of poachers!
