S'MORE BACON BROWNIES

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 425°. Place a wire rack in a 15×10x1-inch baking pan. Place bacon strips in a single layer on rack. Bake until crisp, about 20 minutes. When cool enough to handle, chop bacon; set aside. Reserve 2 tablespoons drippings., Reduce oven setting to 325°. Line an 8-in. square baking pan with foil, letting ends extend up sides; grease foil. In a large bowl, combine brownie mix, water, oil, egg, chipotle powder and reserved bacon drippings. Stir in chocolate chips and half the chopped bacon. Transfer to prepared pan. Swirl in caramel packet included with brownie mix. Bake and cool as package directs., Serve brownies with marshmallow creme, caramel, graham crackers, remaining bacon and ice cream, if desired.

BACON BROWNIES

• Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 8-inch square baking dish.
• Fry bacon in a skillet over medium-high heat until nearly crisp, about 5 minutes. Add honey and stir until the foaming subsides. Remove the bacon with a slotted spoon to a plate to cool.
• Mix melted butter, brown sugar, white sugar, and vanilla extract in a large bowl; mix in eggs.
• Sift flour, cocoa powder, and salt together in a bowl; add to the egg mixture. Fold bacon and chocolate chips into the mixture; pour into the prepared baking dish.
• Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, 25 to 35 minutes. Allow brownies to cool for 20 minutes before cutting into squares.

DR PEPPER® BACON BROWNIES

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 12x18-inch pan with cooking spray.
• Combine 1 cup pepper-type soda and 1 cup butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat; heat until butter is melted, 3 to 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
• Place bacon in a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, about 8 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
• Mix flour, white sugar, 1/4 cup cocoa powder, cinnamon, and salt together in a large bowl.
• Whisk buttermilk, vanilla extract, and baking soda together in a small bowl. Pour flour mixture; mix until batter is blended. Add butter mixture, 1/3 of the bacon, and chocolate chips; mix thoroughly. Spread in the prepared pan.
• Bake in the preheated oven until top is dry and edges have started to pull away from the sides of the pan, 25 to 30 minutes.
• Combine 6 tablespoons pepper-type soda, 1/2 cup butter, and 3 tablespoons cocoa powder in a saucepan; bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Add 1/2 of the remaining bacon and confectioners' sugar; whisk until frosting is smooth.
• Spread frosting over brownies. Garnish with remaining bacon. Cool until frosting sets, about 20 minutes. Cut into squares.

BACON CHOCOLATE CHIP CHEESECAKE BLONDIES

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 375°. Line a 9-in. square baking pan with foil, letting ends extend up sides; grease foil., Reserve 1/4 cup crumbled bacon for top. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. In another bowl, whisk flour, salt and baking soda; gradually beat into creamed mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and remaining bacon. Press half of the dough onto bottom of prepared pan., For cheesecake layer, in a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs, milk and vanilla; beat on low speed just until blended. Pour over dough in prepared pan; drop remaining dough by rounded tablespoons over cheesecake layer. Sprinkle with reserved bacon., Bake until golden brown, 45-50 minutes. Cool in pan on a wire rack. Refrigerate at least 4 hours before cutting. Lifting with foil, remove from pan. Cut into bars.
