CHOCOLATE PRETZELS
These are unlike any chocolate pretzel I have ever had before! My aunt gave me the recipe and they are wonderful.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Place pretzels on baking sheets. Unwrap candy kisses and place one in the center of each pretzel.
- Place in preheated oven 1 to 2 minutes, until kisses melt. Remove from oven and place one candy-coated chocolate in the center of each pretzel. Chill in refrigerator until set.

- Lay pretzel sticks on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Microwave 1 cup green candy melts in 30-second intervals until melted. Transfer to a piping bag; pipe a zigzag tree shape on top of each pretzel stick, leaving the bottom half of the pretzel exposed. Sprinkle with rainbow nonpareils and let set 10 minutes. Make a few extra trees in case some break.

- Preheat oven to 175 degrees F ( 80 degrees C).
- Arrange pretzels on a baking sheet. Place a candy kiss on the center of each pretzel.
- Warm pretzels in the preheated oven until candy kiss is shiny and slightly softened, 2 minutes.
- Place a candy-coated chocolate piece atop the candy kiss on each pretzel; press down. Chill in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.

- Prepare the pretzels according to package directions, reserving the pretzel salt for the end. I typically discard the “butter” that comes in these packages, and prefer to use fresh butter instead. But you do you!
- Once your pretzels have been warmed and are nice and soft, pile the ham and Swiss slices onto half of them. Spread with a little mustard and then place the remaining pretzels on top, creating 6 sandwiches.
- Place a large skillet over medium heat and add about 1 TBSP butter to the pan; allow it to melt. Working in batches so as to not overcrowd the pan, cook the melts just as you would grilled cheeses – until they’re golden and crusty and the cheese has melted; about 3 to 4 minutes per side. Add more butter to the pan, as needed.
- To really get your melts flat and crunchy, like paninis, press down on the sandwiches with a flat spatula as they cook (or any tool that works).

HOW TO MAKE CHOCOLATE-COVERED PRETZELS WITH CANDY MELTS

- Melt your candy according to package instructions. If you’re dipping pretzel rods, make sure your dipping container is tall enough to cover as much of the pretzel that you want covered in candy. If you’re dipping pretzel twists, you can use a microwave-safe bowl or candy melting pot to melt your candy.
- Dip your pretzel rods into the melted candy. Tap pretzel on edge of container to smooth and remove excess candy.For pretzel twists, use the fork tool to dip your twists into the melted candy. Tap fork on edge of bowl or melting pot to remove excess candy.
- For added color, you can drizzle your pretzels with another color of Candy Melts candy. To do this, melt the second color of candy in a decorating bag or squeeze bottle. Drizzle over candy-coated pretzels. Chill until set, about 5 minutes. If you’re adding sprinkles, nonpareils, nuts or other toppings to your pretzels, be sure to add them immediately after dunking your pretzels in the melted candy. Candy Melts set up fairly quickly, so you want to add any toppings before the candy sets.
