Pudding Rich Ring Cake Recipes

VANILLA RING CAKE

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 350°. Grease and flour a 10-in. fluted tube pan. In a large bowl, cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla. Combine the flour, baking powder and baking soda; add to the creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk, beating well after each addition., Pour into prepared pan. Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, 55-65 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack to cool completely. , Combine the confectioners' sugar, vanilla and enough milk to achieve desired consistency; drizzle over cake.

PUDDING RICH RING CAKE

Steps:

• HEAT oven to 350°F
• Generously spray a 12-cup fluted tube pan pan or 10-inch tube pan with flour no-stick cooking spray.
• Combine cake ingredients in large bowl at low speed until moistened; beat 2 minutes at high speed. Pour batter into prepared pan.
• BAKE 45 to 60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 30 minutes; invert onto serving plate. Cool completely.
• HEAT frosting in small saucepan just until melted. Spoon glaze over cake, allowing some to run down sides.

POUND CAKE RING

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine milk, lemon juice, vanilla, lemon zest and extract. Combine flour, salt and baking soda; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk mixture, beating well after each addition., Pour 4-1/2 cups of batter into a greased and floured 10-in. fluted tube pan. (Use the remaining batter to prepare a second pound cake.) , Bake 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 325°; bake 45 minutes longer or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack to cool completely. Dust with confectioners' sugar and garnish with fruit and mint if desired.

PUDDING RICH BUTTER RING CAKE

Steps:

• Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Generously grease and flour 12-cup Bundt pan or 10-inch tube pan. In large bowl, combine cake ingredients at low speed until moistened; beat 2 minutes at high speed. Pour batter into greased and floured pan. Bake for 45 to 55 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 30 minutes; invert onto serving plate. Cool completely.
• Frost if desired. Heat frosting in small saucepan until melted. Spoon glaze over cake, allowing some to run down sides. 16 servings
• HIGH ALTITUDE - Above 3500 feet add 1/3 cup flour to dry cake mix and increase water to 1 1/4 cup. Bake as directed.

STRIPE-IT-RICH CAKE

Steps:

• Bake cake as directed on in a 9x13 pan.
• Remove from oven.
• Using the handle of a wooden spoon, poke holes in the cake at 1/2 inch intervals.
• In large bowl, combine pudding mixes and powdered sugar.
• Gradually stir in 4 cups of cold milk.
• Beat at low speed for one minute.
• Quickly pour 1/2 of the thin pudding evenly over the warm cake.
• Allow remaining pudding to thicken and spoon and spread over the top of the cake.
• Chill at least 1 hour.
• Serve each piece with a dollop of cool whip.
• You can experiment with different flavors of cake and pudding if you like.
