2 cups beef broth
½ cup all-purpose flour
¾ pound mushrooms, diced
½ cup chopped green onions
½ cup butter

Steps:

  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine broth, flour, mushrooms, green onions and butter. Cook, stirring constantly, until golden brown and thickened.

2 tablespoons butter
1/2 pound sliced fresh mushrooms
1/4 cup chopped onion
6 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
2 cans (14-1/2 ounces each) chicken broth
1 cup half-and-half cream

Steps:

  • In a large saucepan, heat butter over medium-high heat; saute mushrooms and onion until tender., Mix flour, salt, pepper and 1 can broth until smooth; stir into mushroom mixture. Stir in remaining can of broth. Bring to a boil; cook and stir until thickened, about 2 minutes. Reduce heat; stir in cream. Simmer, uncovered, until flavors are blended, about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

1 sweet yellow onion (sliced)
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

Steps:

  • In a skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Then, add mushrooms and cook 5 minutes.
  • Reduce heat to medium and add sliced onion, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook another 5-7 minutes, until the mushrooms and onions are browned and soft.

1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/4 cup ketchup
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce, to taste
1 teaspoon mustard powder
1/2 cup water
4 tablespoons butter
1 cup sliced button mushroom

Steps:

  • Heat a large skillet on medium heat. Melt butter and add mushrooms. Cook until golden brown, about 10-15 minutes.
  • Add ketchup, soup, pepper, mustard, Worcestershire sauce and whisk to combine.
  • Add corn starch to water and stir to combine. Bring sauce to a boil and whisk in your water and corn starch mixture until desired thickness.
  • Remove from heat and let cool for 10 minutes.
