DOUBLE QUICK DINNER ROLLS



Double Quick Dinner Rolls image

An easy, delicious dinner roll to prepare--no shaping needed. You may want to double the recipe!

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
1 cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
¼ cup dry potato flakes
2 tablespoons white sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 egg
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
¾ teaspoon onion powder
2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add potato flakes, sugar, salt, egg, vegetable oil, onion powder, and 1cup of the flour. Beat until smooth. Stir in remaining flour. Continue stirring until smooth, scraping batter from sides of bowl.
  • Cover and let dough rise in warm place until doubled, about 20 to 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Lightly grease 12 muffin cups.
  • Punch down dough. Spoon dough into 12 greased muffin cups, filling each half full. Let rise until batter reaches tops of cups, or about 20 minutes.
  • Bake in a preheated 400 degree F(200 degrees C) for 15 minutes. Serve immediately.

  • In a medium bowl, stir together the flour, milk, and mayonnaise. Spoon into the 5 prepared muffin cups.

There is truly no smell as amazing as fresh warm bread or rolls coming out of the oven! These 30 minute dinner rolls are the perfect addition to any meal!

1 cup warm tap water
⅓ cup oil
¼ cup sugar
2 tablespoons yeast
1 egg (beaten)
1 tablespoon softened butter
½ teaspoon salt
3 to 4 cups all-purpose flour (I used closer to 3)
⅛ cup milk (room temperature)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400*F.
  • In a large bowl, combine 1 cup water, oil, sugar, and yeast. Let sit until yeast is bubbly (about 8 minutes). Stir in beaten egg, softened butter, and salt.
  • With a stand mixer or by hand, add flour, one cup at a time until you have a soft dough that isn't sticky. Knead by hand 10 minutes or 5 minutes with a stand mixer.
  • Divide dough into 18 even pieces, and form into balls. Place in a greased pan and cover with parchment paper and a kitchen towel.
  • Let rise 10 minutes in a warm place. (You can allow them to rise up to an additional 30 minutes if time allows).
  • Lightly brush with milk and bake on the middle rack for 10-12 minutes or just until browned.

1/3 cup oil
1 tsp. salt

3 1/2 cups flour

Steps:

  • Dissolve yeast in warm water and sugar in a large bowl. Add in oil, salt, egg and flour until combined. (Add a little extra flour if dough is too sticky.)
  • Shape immediately into about 15 rolls and place in a greased 9x13" cake pan. Let raise for about 15-20 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 375ºF. Bake rolls for about 15-20 minutes. Spread butter on the tops of cooked rolls for a finishing touch. Enjoy!

1 package (1/4 ounce) quick-rise yeast
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons butter

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine 3/4 cup flour, sugar, yeast and salt. In a small saucepan, heat the milk, water and butter to 120° -130°. Add to dry ingredients; beat just until moistened. Stir in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough. , Turn onto a floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, about 6-8 minutes. Cover and let rest for 10 minutes., Divide dough into 12 pieces; shape each piece into a roll. Arrange in a greased 9-in. round baking pan. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 35 minutes. , Bake at 375° for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from pan to a wire rack to cool.

Do you ever say, "I wish I had time to make some yeast rolls to go with this pot of soup?" Well, now you can because these no-fail rolls truly are "quick as a wink", and made with only 3 ingredients and water! These are great tasting rolls, super easy to make, and they go perfectly with soup or chili. No one will know you have taken a shortcut. So now you can have homemade yeast rolls any time you wish with just ingredients from your pantry. Enjoy! A tried and true recipe, and the photo is my own.

1 - package rapid rise yeast
2 1/2 - cups pioneer buttermilk biscuit mix
1 - tablespoon sugar
3/4 - cup warm water, around 115 degrees on the thermometer

Steps:

  • Dissolve the yeast and the sugar in a small measuring cup, and let it stand 5 minutes, then stir in the biscuit mix.
  • I use Pioneer brand buttermilk biscuit mix. Make a dough and knead until it is smooth and elastic, about 8 minutes.
  • Roll out the dough and cut into round shapes. (You can make other shapes if you wish.) You will get around 20 rolls, less if you make them bigger.
  • I use an air baking sheet with parchment paper for best results. (The reason I like an air baking sheet is they don't overbrown baked goods) Place the cut rolls on the greased baking sheet and let them rise until double in size, about 30 minutes or so, and bake in a 400 degree oven for 10 to 15 minutes until golden brown. 2021-07-03 Set the baking tray by lining foil/butter paper. Apply oil on the baking sheet. Place the dough ball with some distance. Apply milk layer on top of the balls. Again cover with a cotton cloth and leave it to rise for 10 minutes. Preheat the oven at 220C or 428F Bake the dinner rolls for about 10 to 15 minutes.

2022-04-13 Start by adding the 3 ½ cups of flour as called for and mixing. If the dough is holding it’s shape and clearing the sides of the bowl without leaving a lot of residue on your fingers when pinched, it’s ready to go. If the dough does not form a ball or clear the edges of the bowl while mixing, add additional flour ¼ cup at a time until it does.
