QUICK CRAB STEW
This is a Paula Deen recipe that I watched her make on her show. It has been found again, so I am putting it here for safe keeping.

Steps:
- In a large saucepan, melt the butter and saute the onion until translucent, about 3-4 minute.
- Add the soups, milk, and half and half, and stir to combine.
- Add the crabmeat and bring just to a boil.
- Add the sherry, salt and pepper, to taste.
- Serve immediately, or allow to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate or freeze immediately in serving sizes.

CONNIE'S QUICK STEW
Tomato stew with hamburger, carrots, potatoes, and green beans. Try adding a variety of veggies, fresh or frozen. I find it easy to keep pre-cooked ground beef in the freezer. It will thaw in the soup base while you dice the carrots and potatoes.

Steps:
- In a 6 quart stock pot, over medium heat, brown ground beef and season with salt and pepper.
- Add tomato soup, water (fill pot 2/3 full), carrots and potatoes. If desired add green beans and then bring soup to a boil and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes, or until vegetables are tender.

CRAB STEW
I live on an island in Florida and have a lot of fresh crabmeat in the summer. This is one of my families favorite soups. Its creamy and spicy and definitely NOT low calorie. I have never tried it but I think it would be good with shrimp too.

- Cook vegetables in butter until soft.
- Add flour. Cook roux 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Add all remaining ingredients except crab.
- Simmer gently 10 minutes or until thick.
- Add crab. Cook one minute more and serve.

- Place the potatoes and water in a microwave-safe dish; microwave on high until almost tender, about 7-9 minutes. Set aside (do not drain). , In a 3-qt. microwave-safe dish, cook beef and onion on medium until beef is browned, about 8 minutes; drain. Add potatoes and remaining ingredients. Cover and microwave on medium for 12 minutes or until potatoes are tender and vegetables are heated through.
