1 (3.5 ounce) package ramen noodles (such as Nissin® Top Ramen)
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 slice firm tofu, cubed
½ green bell pepper, chopped
¼ small onion, chopped
⅓ cup plum sauce
⅓ cup sweet and sour sauce

Steps:

  • Bring a pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook ramen in boiling water, stirring occasionally, until noodles have cooked through but are still firm to the bite, 2 to 3 minutes. Drain.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over high heat. Place tofu on one side of the skillet and pepper and onion on the other side of the skillet. Cook and stir tofu until browned on all sides, 1 to 3 minutes. At the same time, cook and stir onion and pepper until caramelized, 1 to 3 minutes.
  • Stir ramen noodles into skillet; stir to combine noodles, tofu, onion, and pepper. Pour plum sauce and sweet and sour sauce over ramen mixture; cook and stir until well-combined and heated through, 2 to 5 minutes.

Quick Ramen Noodle Stir Fry - Fast, easy and budget-friendly using ramen noodles and ground beef for an amazing, saucy stir fry the whole family will love!

2 green onions (thinly sliced)
1/2 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds
1/4 cup oyster sauce
1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
1 teaspoon Sriracha (or more, to taste)
1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
1 pound lean ground beef
1 cup diced sweet onion
3 cloves garlic (minced)
1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger

Steps:

  • In a large pot of boiling water, cook ramen noodles until tender, about 3-4 minutes; rinse with cold water and drain well.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together beef stock, oyster sauce, rice wine vinegar and Sriracha.
  • Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and onion, and cook until beef has browned, about 3-5 minutes, making sure to crumble the beef as it cooks; drain excess fat.
  • Stir in garlic and ginger until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Stir in beef stock mixture, scraping any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  • Stir in ramen noodles until heated through and evenly coated in sauce, about 1-2 minutes.
  • Serve immediately, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds, if desired.

ground black pepper to taste
salt to taste
1 (3 ounce) package instant ramen noodles
1 tablespoon soy sauce, divided, or to taste
vegetable oil
½ onion, chopped
1 cup bean sprouts
½ pound cooked and peeled shrimp, or to taste
1 pinch garlic powder, or to taste
1 head bok choy, chopped
1 green onion

Steps:

  • Bring water to a boil in a saucepan. Add salt and black pepper. Add ramen, discarding the flavor packet. Cook for 2 minutes. Add 1/4 teaspoon soy sauce. Cook 3 minutes more and drain ramen.
  • Heat oil in a nonstick pan over medium heat. Add onion and season with salt and black pepper; cook about 1 minute. Add bean sprouts and 1/4 teaspoon soy sauce; cook and stir for 1 minute. Add shrimp and season with garlic powder and black pepper; cook until shrimp are pink, about 2 minutes more.
  • Stir cooked ramen noodles into the pan with the shrimp. Add additional soy sauce to taste. Add bok choy and green onion. Simmer until vegetables are crisp-tender, about 5 minutes more.

half a Savoy cabbage, cut into 1cm-wide strips
1 tbsp hot sunflower oil
2 rashers of smoked streaky bacon, cut into strips
handful of pine nuts
2 thinly sliced garlic cloves
4cm root ginger, cut in matchsticks
1 tbsp oil
soy sauce, to taste

Steps:

  • Fry the cabbage in a wok with about 1 tbsp hot sunflower oil for a few seconds. Add the bacon and fry for 30 seconds. Tip in the pinenuts, garlic cloves and ginger. Stir fry until lightly browned.
  • Tip everything out into a bowl, add another tbsp of oil and the cabbage to the wok and fry over a high heat for 4-5 minutes. Return everything to the wok with a little soy sauce to taste. Serve fresh and hot.

4 chicken breasts (thinly sliced)
1 onion (thinly sliced)
2 red bell peppers (thinly sliced)
2 cups shredded cabbage
2 cups baby corn (halved)
2 cups greens, bok choy/spinach/kale (chopped)
1 cup spring/green onions (finely chopped)
500 g egg noodles (cooked to package instructions)
½ cup soy sauce
1 tbsp sesame oil
2 garlic cloves (crushed)
2 tsp ginger (crushed)
3 tbsp hoisin sauce
1 tbsp corn flour (mixed with 2 tbsp water to make a slurry )

Steps:

  • Add a splash of vegetable oil to a pre-heated wok then fry the chicken in batches until golden brown. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  • Add the vegetables, stir-frying until just cooked and starting to color then add the chicken, cooked noodles and stir-fry sauce back into the wok.
  • Stir-fry until the vegetables and chicken are coated in the sauce and the sauce is starting to thicken.
  • Season to taste (add more soy/hoisin or lemon if necessary) and serve.

1/4 cup canned low-sodium chicken broth or chicken stock
2 teaspoons cornstarch
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoons hoisin sauce
2 teaspoons packed light brown sugar
1 teaspoon dry sherry, optional
2 tablespoons peanut or vegetable oil
3 tablespoons sliced on the bias green onions, plus more for garnish
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons minced gingerroot
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast halves, cut into thin strips
1 (14-ounce) bag frozen mixed vegetables (broccoli florets, julienne red peppers, sugar snap peas and water chestnuts), about 3 cups, thawed

Steps:

  • While assembling the other ingredients, soak the noodles in hot water to soften, 10 to 15 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  • To make the sauce, in a bowl, whisk together the chicken broth with the cornstarch. Add the soy, hoisin, sugar, and sherry, if using, whisk, and set aside.
  • Heat a wok over high heat. Add the oil and when hot and nearly smoking, add the green onions, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes and cook, stirring, for 10 to 15 seconds. Add the chicken and stir-fry until turning opaque and nearly cooked through, 3 to 4 minutes. Add the vegetables and stir-fry for 1 minute. Add the sauce, stir and toss, cooking until the chicken is all the way cooked through and the sauce is thick, about 2 minutes. Remove the chicken and vegetables from the pan. Add the noodles, toss, and cook to warm through, 30 seconds to 1 minute.
  • Transfer the stir-fry to a platter and garnish with additional green onions. Arrange the noodles on the side and serve immediately.

8 ounces ramen noodles
1 tablespoon avocado oil (or other oil)
1 clove garlic, minced

Steps:

  • Combine all the ingredients for the sauce in a small bowl and whisk together, set aside.
  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add ramen and cook according to package directions, drain and set aside.
  • Add the avocado oil to a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Once hot, add the garlic and ginger and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add the pork to the skillet and cook until browned, about 3 minutes.
  • Add the vegetables, toss to combine with the pork and oil mixture and cook for 3-4 minutes until just softened.
  • Add the ramen to the skillet, pour the sauce on top and toss everything together using tongs until well combined and coated in the sauce.
  • Garnish with cilantro and serve.
