RETRO ONE POT MACARONI SUPPER - CATELLI®
This pasta is amazingly versatile and pairs well with just about any type of sauce, not just traditional tomato sauce and meatballs. This tried-and-true meal, made with all-natural pasta*, is sure to please humble and sophisticated palates alike. *Not all pasta shapes are made with all-natural ingredients. Steps:
- Heat the oil in a large pot or Dutch oven set over medium heat. Add the beef; cook for 5 minutes or until browned.
- Stir in the oregano, basil, salt, onion and mushrooms (if using). Cook, stirring occasionally for 5 minutes or until onion and mushrooms are tender.
- Stir in the dry macaroni, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce and milk. Bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium low and cover. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 10 to 15 minutes or until the pasta is tender.
- Stir in the cheese until just melted. Serve immediately. Tip This pasta easily serves a crowd. If cooking for a smaller family, the leftover pasta can be frozen and reheated in the microwave for another meal.
BEST ONE POT CHEESE AND MACARONI
This recipe uses less milk and no thickener what-so-ever! Very cheesy, too! You can either serve it from the pot, or top with buttered crumbs and put in 350 oven to brown for half an hour, but we like ours fine without.

- Pour water and salt into a medium pot and bring to a rolling boil over high heat. Once the water is boiling, stir in the shell pasta, and return to a boil. Cook the pasta uncovered, stirring occasionally, until the water has cooked down a bit, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the milk, and continue boiling for another 5 minutes. Add the Cheddar, Parmesan, pepper, and mustard; stir until the cheese melts and the sauce is thick and creamy. The starch from the pasta thickens the sauce as the pasta cooks.
