Spicy Seasoned Pretzels image

These spicy pretzels are the ultimate snack! Mini twist pretzels soaked in oil & coated in a homemade seasoning blend that bursts with flavor in every bite!

16 oz bag tiny twist pretzels
1 cup avocado oil
2 teaspoon garlic salt
2 teaspoons lemon pepper
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Steps:

  • Pour oil and spices into a gallon ziploc bag. Seal and shake to evenly combine oil with spices
  • Add in pretzels, seal up ziploc bag, and gently shake to combine.
  • Allow pretzels to soak up the seasoned oil for at least 6 hours, or ideally for 24 hours. Turn bag to shake up pretzels every few hours. No need to bake them, the pretzels will soak up all the oil.
  • Will keep in an airtight container for at least 1 week.

Pretzels with a bite! This snack is shaken, not baked. Lemon pepper is the secret ingredient, and gives the spice marinade mixture a wonderful zest.

1 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon lemon pepper
1 ½ teaspoons garlic salt
1 (1 ounce) package dry Ranch-style dressing mix
¾ cup vegetable oil
1 ½ (15 ounce) packages mini pretzels

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, mix together cayenne pepper, lemon pepper, garlic salt, ranch-style dressing mix and vegetable oil.
  • Place pretzels in a large, sealable plastic bag. Pour in mixture from bowl. Shake well. Allow pretzels to marinate in the mixture approximately 2 hours before serving. Shake occasionally to maintain coating.

We've made them with Crisco, and we've made them with other brands, and they don't taste the same! *** seems to be too hot for a few people , PLEASE ADJUST the cayenne pepper if you don't like HOT***

1/4 lb small pretzels
1/4 cup crisco vegetable oil
1 (1 ounce) package hidden valley ranch dressing mix
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Steps:

  • Put pretzels in a roaster pan.
  • (or 13x9 pan will work) Mix together the Crisco oil, dressing mix, salt and cayenne pepper.
  • Pour over pretzels.
  • Toss thoroughly!
  • Bake at 200* for 1 1/2- 2 hours.
  • Stir about every 20 minutes.

2 (16 ounce) bags small pretzels (you can mix mini and sticks)
3/4 cup vegetable oil or 3/4 cup canola oil
1 (1 ounce) package ranch dressing mix
1 tablespoon lemon pepper (I prefer the course kind with lemon zest)
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 1/2-2 teaspoons cayenne pepper (depending how spicy you like it)

Steps:

  • Pour all pretzels in a large container w/lid or large plastic bag (big enough to shake) set aside.
  • Mix remaining 6 ingredients together then pour over pretzels. Secure lid on container or tie plastic bag and shake well, so all pretzels are coated. Let sit a few minutes, then enjoy! Store in air tight containers.
