1 (13 ounce) package smoked sausage, cut into 1/2-inch slices
1 (16 ounce) package bacon slices, halved crosswise
1 (16 ounce) package brown sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Wrap each slice of sausage with a piece of bacon and arrange in the prepared baking dish; sprinkle with brown sugar.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until bacon is crispy and sugar is caramelized, about 1 hour.

2 (8 ounce) packages brown and serve sausages
1/2 cup packed brown sugar, plus
2 tablespoons packed brown sugar, divided

Steps:

  • Cut bacon strips widthwise in half, cut sausage links in half. Wrap a piece of bacon around each piece of sausage. Place 1/2 cup brown sugar in a shallow bowl; roll sausages in sugar. Secure each with a toothpick. Place in a foil-lined baking pan. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  • Sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of brown sugar. Bake at 350° for 35-40 minutes or until the bacon is crisp, turning once. Sprinkle with the remaining brown sugar.
  • *I'm not sure how many people this would serve, so the serving size is a guess.
  • **The preparation time does not include chilling time.

1-1/2 cups herb-seasoned stuffing mix
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup water
1/4 pound bulk pork sausage
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1 pound sliced bacon

Steps:

  • Place stuffing mix in a bowl. In a saucepan, heat butter and water until butter is melted. Pour over stuffing. Add sausage and egg and mix well. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour. , Shape into 1-in. balls. Cut bacon strips in half; wrap a strip around each stuffing ball and secure with a toothpick. Place in a ungreased 15x10x1-in. baking pan. , Bake, uncovered, at 375° for 20 minutes. Turn; bake 15 minutes longer or until bacon is crisp. Drain on paper towels; serve warm.

4 (12-inch) bamboo skewers soaked in water for 1 hour
6 slices center cut bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces (recommended: Oscar Mayer)
4 chicken and apple sausages (recommended: Aidell's)
1/2 red onion, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 green, red, or yellow bell pepper, cut into 1 1/2-inch pieces
1 cup store bought BBQ sauce
1 orange, cut into slices or wedges

Steps:

  • Set up grill for direct cooking over medium heat. Oil grate when ready to start cooking.
  • Cook bacon pieces in a microwave oven for about 1 minute, or pan fry until the edges begin to curl but the bacon is still flexible. Drain well.
  • Cut each sausage into 5 pieces.
  • Thread an end piece of sausage onto skewer followed by a piece of bacon, onion, bell pepper, and another piece of bacon. Repeat using center sausage pieces and finishing with end piece (center sausage pieces will be "sandwiched" between bacon). Repeat with remaining skewers and sausages.
  • Place skewers on hot oiled grill and cook 4 to 5 minutes per side (16 to 20 minutes total).
  • Meanwhile, squeeze the orange juice into the BBQ sauce and stir to combine. Brush kabobs with BBQ sauce with each turn. Serve hot with orange slices or wedges.
  • INDOOR: Prepare kebabs as directed. Preheat broiler. Place kebabs on wire rack over foil lined baking sheet or broiler pan. Place under broiler 4 to 6 inches from heat source and cook 3 to 5 minutes per side. Brush with BBQ sauce with each turn.

1 lb sausage (I prefer Jimmy Dean)
1/2 lb diced good thick pepper bacon
1 cup flour
1 tablespoon butter
1/2-1 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2-1 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon season salt
1 -2 quart milk (I use skim)

Steps:

  • Fry the diced bacon until slightly crisp, pour out bacon and grease and set aside until later.
  • Fry the sausage in the same dutch oven until browned, adding a little of the pepper to the sausage as it cooks.
  • Add the bacon grease and 1/4th of the bacon to the cooked sausage. Cook on low and add the butter until melted. Add the flour and season salt. Cook for 3 minutes to get rid of the flour taste. Stirring constantly.
  • Heat to medium, slowly add the milk, only enough at a time so it doesn't get too runny. Add the rest of the bacon.
  • Add the salt and pepper for your taste. I believe the more pepper the better. The longer this simmers the more flavor it has. This is great with biscuits, hashbrowns or chicken fried steak.
  • I always divide the gravy into plastic bowls enough for 1 meal and freeze for another day.
