This spicy sausage dip is great with tortilla chips or crackers. It's so thick and tasty, it could be a meal in itself!

Ingredients

1 pound ground pork sausage
1 ½ cups chopped onions
1 (10 ounce) can diced tomatoes with green chile peppers, drained
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
1 (16 ounce) container sour cream
1 tablespoon crushed red pepper

Steps:

Place pork sausage in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown.
Drain sausage and stir in onions. Cook until slightly tender, about 2 minutes. Mix in diced tomatoes with green chile peppers. Stirring occasionally, allow the mixture to simmer approximately 15 minutes.
Blend cream cheese and sour cream into the sausage mixture. Season with crushed red pepper.

1-1/2 pounds bulk pork sausage
2-1/2 cups chopped fresh mushrooms
2 medium green peppers, chopped
1 large tomato, seeded and chopped
1 medium red onion, chopped
1-1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, cubed
1 cup sour cream
Tortilla chips

Steps:

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until no longer pink; drain. Add the next 8 ingredients; cook until the vegetables are tender. Reduce heat to low; add cream cheese and sour cream. Cook and stir until cheese is melted and well blended (do not boil). Serve warm with tortilla chips.

In a large skillet, cook the sausage, onion and green pepper over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain., Stir in tomatoes and chilies. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally., Add cream cheese; stir until melted. Stir in sour cream; heat through. (Do not boil.) Transfer to a fondue pot and keep warm. Serve with chips.
