SIMPLE ʻULU HASH
A delicious & healthy Hawaiian breakfast. This breadfruit hash recipe created by Kealakehe HS Culinary Arts Program is an easy to make popular Hawaiʻi dish!

Steps:
- Defrost 'ulu by steaming 10-15 minutes or until fork can be inserted all the way through.
- Once cool, cut into ½-inch cubes and set aside.
- In a small bowl, combine broth and spices. Mix thoroughly and pour over 'ulu. Combine evenly.
- Heat oil in a small saucepan over medium heat.
- Add onion and saute for 5 min. then add 'ulu to the mixture and combine.
- Place mixture in a steamer, cover and cook for 20 minutes
- Serve warm alongside your favorite breakfast items.

- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Stir in the sausage, and cook until crumbly and just slightly pink, about 5 minutes. Stir in the diced potato and onion. Continue cooking until the potatoes are tender and have lightly browned, 10 to 15 minutes.
- Once the potatoes are tender, stir in the mixed vegetables until hot. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with Cheddar cheese before serving.
