Dum-Dum Pie image

Pie with melted candy bar and whipped topping. So easy, even a dummy can make it! Also good in a chocolate crumb pie crust.

1 (9 inch) prepared graham cracker crust
7 ounces milk chocolate with almonds candy
2 (16 ounce) packages frozen whipped topping, thawed
¼ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
¼ cup chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • Break up candy bar and place in a glass bowl. Microwave on high at 30 second intervals, stirring after each interval. Continue just until chocolate is melted.
  • Empty one tub of whipped topping into a medium bowl. Fold in melted chocolate. Spoon mixture into prepared pie shell. Top with remaining tub of whipped topping and sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts. Chill before serving.

A delicate, delightful, and simple cake. Real comfort food! I make it when I am in a hurry (when company is coming or I am dying to have some dessert). This cake works really well with apples and berries, too! Enjoy warm with frozen yogurt.

2 cups chopped rhubarb
1 pinch ground cinnamon, or more to taste
¼ cup butter, softened
¾ cup white sugar
2 eggs
½ cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a deep pie dish.
  • Place rhubarb into the bottom of the prepared pie dish and sprinkle with cinnamon. Mash the butter and sugar together in a bowl until the mixture is creamy and well blended; beat in eggs, milk, and vanilla extract with an electric mixer until the mixture is smooth. In a separate bowl, stir the flour and baking powder together; gently stir the flour mixture into the butter mixture. Spread the resulting batter over the rhubarb in the pie dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until the crust is lightly browned and the rhubarb is bubbling, about 45 minutes. Serve warm.

2 cups milk
1 tablespoon white sugar
½ pound American cheese, grated

Steps:

  • Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat; stir the flour into the butter. Add the soup, milk, and sugar and stir until incorporated. Heat until just about to boil and stir the cheese into the mixture; cook and stir until the cheese is completely melted, but do not allow to boil.
