Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
- Slice the baguette diagonally into 1/4-inch slices. You should have 20 to 25 slices. Place the slices in 1 layer on a baking sheet. Brush each slice with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Bake the toasts for 15 to 20 minutes or until they are crisp and browned. Serve at room temperature.

Steps:
- Heat oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic and onion. Cook, stirring, for 6 minutes or until onion has softened.
- Add anchovies and rosemary. Stir to combine, then cover, reduce heat to low and cook for 20 minutes or until onion and garlic are very soft. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Preheat grill (broiler) to high. Split baguette in half lengthways and cut widthways into 8cm (3 inch) pieces. Toast under grill until golden brown. Top with garlic and onion and serve.

- Set oven rack about 6 inches from the heat source and preheat the oven's broiler. Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet.

- Preheat oven to 475 degrees. Cut 1/2 inch off the top of both heads of garlic. Place each garlic head on a separate piece of parchment, and slowly drizzle 1 tablespoon oil on top of each. Wrap parchment tightly around garlic, then wrap each packet in foil. Roast until cloves are tender and golden brown around edges, 30 to 35 minutes.
- Preheat broiler. Brush torn sides of bread with remaining oil. Sprinkle with salt, and season with pepper. Place on a baking sheet, and broil until gold, about 3 minutes.
- Using a vegetable peeler, thinly shave Parmesan. Serve baguette with roasted garlic and shaved Parmesan on the side.
