Slow Cooker Pork Chops and Rice image

Slow cooker pork chops and rice with cheese is a great dinner, is budget-friendly, and is one of the easiest meals to make. The recipe is a great way to jazz up pork chops and create a filling, hearty, and nutritious meal for the family.

4 boneless pork chops
2 cups chicken broth
1 cup water
1 - 10.5 oz. can cream of mushroom soup
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. dried onion flakes
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1 stick of butter, cubed
2 cups rice (long grain white rice)
1 cup water (to add toward the end with the rice)
1 to 1-1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Spray the slow cooker with non-stick spray.
  • Add the pork chops.
  • Next, add the mushroom soup, chicken broth, water, garlic powder, onion flakes, salt, and pepper.
  • Add the cubed stick of butter on top.
  • Replace the lid and cook ON LOW for seven hours.
  • After seven hours, remove the lid and shred the pork chops with a fork.
  • Add the rice and one more cup of water. Stir to make sure the rice is covered with liquid and replace the lid.
  • Cook ON HIGH for 45-minutes to one more hour, or until rice is done cooking.
  • Remove the lid, add the shredded cheese, and stir.
  • Enjoy!

4 boneless, center cut pork chops
⅓ cup uncooked brown rice
⅔ cup uncooked white rice
½ cup chopped onion
¼ cup butter
8 ounces green peas
1 (5 ounce) can sliced water chestnuts, drained
4 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced
½ cup water
10 ounces beef broth
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 (1 ounce) envelope dry onion soup mix
½ teaspoon pepper

Steps:

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, brown pork chops on both sides.
  • Lightly spray the slow cooker with cooking spray. Then place brown and white rice, onion, butter, peas, water chestnuts, and mushrooms in the slow cooker. Pour in water, broth, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir in onion soup mix, season with pepper, and top with pork chops.
  • Cover, and cook on Low setting for 7 to 9 hours, or on High setting for 4 to 5 hours.

1-1/2 teaspoons chili powder
1-1/2 pounds boneless pork loin chops
1 can (14-1/2 ounces) petite diced tomatoes, undrained
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 celery rib, finely chopped
1 small carrot, julienned
1 garlic clove, minced
1/2 teaspoon Louisiana-style hot sauce
1/4 teaspoon salt
1-1/2 cups uncooked instant rice
1 cup reduced-sodium chicken broth
1 teaspoon olive oil
1 medium green pepper, julienned

Steps:

  • Mix cumin and chili powder; sprinkle pork chops with 2 teaspoon spice mixture. Transfer to a 4-qt. slow cooker., In a small bowl, mix tomatoes, onion, celery, carrot, garlic, hot sauce, salt and remaining spice mixture; pour over chops. Cook, covered, on low until meat is tender, 4-5 hours., Stir in rice and chicken broth, breaking up pork into pieces. Cook, covered, on low until rice is tender, 12-15 minutes longer. , In a small skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add green pepper; cook and stir 5-7 minutes or until crisp-tender. 1 large onion, sliced

1 cup long grain rice, uncooked
1 envelope onion soup mix
1 can (10.75 ounce size) cream of mushroom soup
2 cups water

Steps:

  • If desired, brown the pork chops in a skillet first. Add the rice to the crock pot. Sprinkle with 1/3 of the onion soup mix. Evenly place the pork chops over the top or the rice. Spoon the mushroom soup over the pork, then sprinkle the remaining onion soup mix over that. Pour the water over the top. Cover, cook on low for 4-6 hours or until done. Optional: Add one can of sliced mushrooms (drained) on top of the chops.

Steps:

  • Spray crock pot with non-stick spray.
  • In a skillet, combine rices with butter.
  • Sauté over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until rice is golden brown.
  • Remove from heat and stir in onion, mushrooms, sage, salt, pepper, and 1/2 teaspoon thyme. Pour rice mixture into slow cooker.
  • Arrange chops over rice.
  • Combine consommé and Worcestershire sauce and pour over chops.
