SLOW COOKER LEMON GARLIC CHICKEN II
Seasoned, browned chicken breasts slow cooked with lemon juice, garlic, and chicken bouillon. A wonderful 'fix and forget' recipe that is easy and pleases just about everyone. Great served with rice or pasta, or even alone.

Steps:
- In a bowl, mix the oregano, salt, and pepper. Rub the mixture into chicken. Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Brown chicken in butter for 3 to 5 minutes on each side. Place chicken in a slow cooker.
- In the same skillet, mix the water, lemon juice, garlic, and bouillon. Bring the mixture to boil. Pour over the chicken in the slow cooker.
- Cover, and cook on High for 3 hours, or Low for 6 hours. Add the parsley to the slow cooker 15 to 30 minutes before the end of the cook time.

SLOW COOKER HONEY GARLIC CHICKEN
This easy slow-cooker chicken dish hits all the right notes with its sweet honey and punchy garlic flavor. We opted to use boneless, skinless thighs instead of leaner chicken breasts because they stay nice and juicy as they cook down in this irresistible sauce.

- Place the chicken thighs in an even layer in the slow cooker.
- Whisk together the honey, soy sauce, crushed red pepper, garlic, ginger, vinegar, brown sugar, sesame oil and a few good grinds of black pepper in a large glass measuring cup or a medium bowl until combined. Pour the mixture over the chicken. Cover and cook on low until the chicken is cooked through and fork-tender, 6 to 8 hours. (Alternatively, cook the chicken on high for 4 hours.)
- Turn the slow cooker up to high. Whisk together the cornstarch and 2 tablespoons cold water in a small bowl to make a slurry, then mix the slurry into the sauce until combined. Submerging the sauce in the sauce as much as possible. Cover and cook on high until the sauce is thickened to the consistency of a glaze, about 30 minutes.
- Transfer the chicken and sauce to a platter. Sprinkle with the scallions and toasted sesame seeds and serve with white rice.

- Season chicken with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high. In batches, cook chicken, skin side down, until skin is golden brown, about 4 minutes.
- Combine onion, garlic, and thyme in a 5-to-6-quart slow cooker and season with salt and pepper. Top with chicken, skin side up, in a tight layer. SLOW-COOKER CREAMY GARLIC CHICKEN

- Spray slow cooker with cooking spray.
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Heat 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add oil to skillet, and sear chicken breasts on both sides until golden brown; arrange in single layer in bottom of slow cooker.
- Add garlic to same skillet, and cook until just golden in a few spots; carefully add wine to skillet, and scrape up any browned bits from bottom. Heat to simmering; simmer 1 minute. Pour into slow cooker. Add broth to slow cooker, stirring gently to combine. Add thyme sprigs. Cover; cook on High heat setting 4 to 6 hours.
- Twenty minutes before serving, with slow cooker still set to High, beat cornstarch and water with whisk to make a slurry; stir the slurry, Parmesan cheese and whipping cream into liquid in slow cooker (if necessary, remove chicken from slow cooker for this step, and add back once mixed).
- Cover; cook 20 minutes longer to thicken. Serve with parsley and, if desired, additional Parmesan. Serve over pasta, rice or mashed potatoes.

LEMON GARLIC SLOW COOK CHICKEN RECIPE BY TASTY

- Remove any giblets etc. from the cavity of the chicken, sometimes in a small bag.
- Stuff chicken with 1 sprig of rosemary, 1 lemon (quartered) and 4 cloves garlic.
- Season all sides of the chicken with salt and pepper.
- Remove both ends of a lemon, cut in half to create very thick slices.
- Line the bottom of the slow cooker with 4 lemon slices, 4 whole garlic cloves and a sprig of rosemary.
- Put the chicken in the slow cooker.
- Cut 2 garlic cloves in half and put all four pieces on top of the chicken along with the 2 remaining lemon slices.
- Garnish with 1-2 more sprigs of rosemary. Put the lid on the slow cooker and set to high for 4 hours.
- Place cooked chicken under the grill (broil) for 10 minutes to crisp the skin (optional).
- Allow chicken to rest for 10 minutes before carving and serving. Leftover juices in the slow cooker are mostly lemon juice with a bit of chicken fat and can be used sparingly as a strongly flavoured sauce.

- Pat dry boneless, skinless chicken thighs with paper towel. Combine 1/2 tablespoon of oil with rub ingredients. Season chicken, rubbing the mixture into the chicken.
- Melt butter in the same pan the chicken was in, scraping up any leftover browned bits in the pan. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in remaining sauce ingredients; bring to a rapid simmer for 1 minute. Remove from heat.
- Pour sauce over chicken in slow cooker bowl, flipping thighs in the sauce to evenly coat. Cover with lid and cook on HIGH heat setting for 2-3 hours, or LOW heat setting for 5-6 hours. Baste with sauce half way through cooking.
- Place slow cooked chicken thighs on a lined baking sheet. Baste chicken with some of the thickened sauce, about 2 tablespoons per thigh. Broil briefly for 1-2 minutes each side to char the edges.
