Apple Snicker Salad image

Had this at my nephew's graduation party. Very good and not too sweet.

1 (3.4 ounce) package instant butterscotch pudding mix
1 cup milk
1 (6 ounce) package whipped cream topping (such as Cool Whip®)
6 chocolate-coated caramel-peanut nougat candy bars (such as Snickers®), cut into bite-size pieces
3 Granny Smith apples - peeled, cored, and cut into bite-size pieces

Steps:

  • Whisk butterscotch pudding mix into milk in a bowl until dissolved.
  • Stir whipped cream topping into pudding mixture.
  • Fold the candy bar pieces into the pudding mixture.
  • Fold the apples into the pudding mixture.

Snickers Salad ( No Pudding) image

When we lived in South Dakota, this was a very common salad. Now that we live in Missouri, no one has ever heard of it! The other recipes call for pudding in the mix but try this one, it is pure and delightful. I would suggest that you make it no more than an hour or two before you serve it. The apples will tend to get soggy if made too far in advance. Time includes chilling time although I usually make it right before supper and serve immediately.

6 granny smith apples, peeled, sliced and cut into bite size pieces
6 (2 1/4 ounce) Snickers candy bars
1 (8 ounce) Cool Whip

Steps:

  • In 2 quart bowl, place apple pieces, snickers bars and cool whip.
  • Mix well.
  • Chill for one hour.

I have used FAT Free Cream Cheese, Cool Whip and Sugar Free Pudding and it still tastes great!!!! Cook time is chill time. What I like is the look on people's faces when they ask WHAT'S IN IT?

6 (2 1/4 ounce) Snickers candy bars, chill and cut into small pieces
6 apples, cored and cut into bite sized pieces (I like Granny Smith Apples)
1 (12 ounce) container whipped topping
1 (5 ounce) box vanilla instant pudding mix (dry - do not prepare)

Steps:

  • Mix pudding into whipped topping – stirring well till mixed thoroughly.
  • Add Snickers and apple pieces to pudding mixture – stir well and chill till ready to serve.
