Steps:
- In large pot boil pasta until al dente. Drain.
- In heavy skillet, over medium heat, heat oil. Add onion and garlic; saute until tender. Add tomatoes and thyme; cook stirring frequently, until tomatoes are hot, yet still retain their shape and most of the liquid has evaporated, about 5 minutes.
- Remove and discard fresh thyme sprig, if used. Add basil and drained pasta; toss until heated.
- Transfer to serving bowl; season to taste with salt and pepper and sprinkle evenly with pine nuts.

This recipe is from Foodland Ontario and I love to make it when my garden is full of delicious tomatoes. I hope that you enjoy it as much as I do.

Steps:
- Cook pasta according to directions.
- Melt butter over medium high heat until foamy.
- Add garlic and cook and stir for 2 minutes.
- Stir in tomatoes and bring mixture to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover and simmer 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in basil (I use anywhere from 1/4-1/2 cup of basil) and vinegar.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Drain pasta and return to pot. Pour tomato mixture mixture over pasta; toss to combine. Sprinkle with parmesan and hot pepper flakes, if desired.
- Enjoy.

- Preheat the oven to 180°C, fan 160°C, gas mark 4. Put the tomatoes in a large roasting tin with garlic cloves and season to taste. Combine olive oil, balsamic vinegar, a pinch of chilli flakes and a pinch of caster sugar in a small jug, then drizzle over the tomatoes. Roast for 50 minutes - 1 hour, or until the tomatoes are soft and starting to caramelise.
- Remove from the oven, roughly crush with a fork and stir through a handful of torn fresh basil leaves. Cook the pasta to pack instructions, stir through the sauce and serve.
