How to make a fun and fruity chilled drink to cool down from the early autumn heat. This DIY Starbucks Very Berry Hibiscus Tea is just as refreshing at a portion of the cost.

Number Of Ingredients 6

8 ounces water
8 ounce white grape juice
1 hibiscus tea bag
1 green tea bag
3-4 teaspoon sugar
1/4 cup mixed berries

Steps:

  • Mix water and grape juice in a heat-proof glass, then heat in the microwave for 60 seconds.
  • Add green and hibiscus tea bags: let steep for 6-8 minutes.
  • Remove tea bags and add 3-4 teaspoons sugar to taste.
  • Add berries and put in refrigerator to let flavors marinate.
  • Enjoy your delicious drink!

2 cups filtered water
1/2 -1 tsp Green Coffee Bean Powder
2 cups sugar
1/4 cup ginger, loosely packed, peeled and chopped into chunks
3 cups filtered water
3 Hibiscus Tea Bags
3 green tea bags
1 cups white grape juice
1 cup mixed berries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries etc.

Steps:

  • Boil 3 cups filtered water in a pot over medium heat. Remove from heat and add the teabags. Let steep 30 minutes.
  • Bring to a boil 2 cups filtered water, 2 cups of sugar, and green coffee bean powder in a medium pot over medium-high heat, stirring to dissolve the sugar.
  • Remove from the heat and add the ginger. Let steep for 30 minutes.
  • Pour through a fine sieve and discard the chunks of ginger.
  • Remove tea bags from the steeped tea and pour into a 2 quart pitcher.
  • Add the ginger simple syrup and the two cups of white grape juice and mix.
  • Add mixed berries. Place pitcher in the refrigerator for a minimum 1 hour to allow the flavors to blend and the tea to get chilled.
  • Add a few frozen blueberries and/or raspberries to individual glasses for an extra berry touch.

Steps:

  • This recipe is SO easy! I add the white grape juice concentrate, lemon juice, fresh blackberries, and the Pique Tea Crystals packets- Hibiscus Beauty Elixir to my Vitamix blender. I pulse a few times until everything is combined (there will still be some whole or blackberry bits!).
  • Pour over 1/2 cup ice. Enjoy!

  • Add the beans to a scrupulously clean spice or coffee grinder, pulse the grinder about 10 times just to break up the beans a little. Empty the beans into a half-gallon glass canning jar or another similarly sized container with a tight fitting lid. Pour the cold water over the beans, fix the lid in place and shake a couple of times to make sure it is all good and distributed. Stash in the refrigerator overnight to extract.
  • Add hibiscus flowers, sugar, and water to a heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium high heat. Stir frequently to dissolve the sugar and bring to a boil. As soon as the mixture boils, turn off the heat and add a lid to the pan. Let it steep for at least 20 minutes, but not more than 40 minutes. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve lined with cheesecloth or a coffee filter into a canning jar or pitcher. Store in the refrigerator in a tightly lidded jar or other stain-proof container. Hibiscus syrup WILL stain!
  • Add 2 cups of ice to a quart canning jar. Pour the green coffee extract and hibiscus syrup over the ice, add the freeze-dried berries and pour the water over everything else. Fix the lid tightly in place and shake vigorously for about 25 seconds. Pour into a pretty glass and sip. Heck, gulp if you want to gulp! This is good stuff and it's good for you!
