1 1/4 sticks unsalted butter
6 cloves roasted garlic, pureed
Salt
Pepper
12 slices French bread, cut 1/2-inch thick
6 slices aged provolone cheese, halved lengthwise, cut 1/4-inch thick
Steak, recipe follows
Parsley oil, recipe follows
1 boneless rib-eye, about 16 ounces
Olive oil
Salt
Freshly ground black pepper
1/4 cup finely chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
1/2 cup canola oil
Salt
Pepper

Steps:

  • Heat the grill. Mix together the butter and garlic puree and season with salt and pepper.
  • Brush 1 side of the bread with a tablespoon of the butter and place on the grill, butter side down and grill until golden brown; turn over, top with the cheese and grill for 30 seconds longer or until the cheese melts.
  • Place the garlic bread on a platter and top the cheese with a few thin slices of the beef and drizzle with the parsley oil.
  • Remove the steak from the refrigerator 30 minutes before grilling. Heat grill to high.
  • Brush steak on both sides with oil and season with salt and pepper. Place on the grill and cook until golden brown and slightly charred, 4 to 5 minutes. Turn over and continue grilling to medium-rare doneness. Remove from the grill and let rest 5 minutes. Slice into 1/4-inch thick slices.
  • Mix together ingredients in a small bowl. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.

1 loaf French bread
1 lb flank steak
4 ounces mozzarella cheese
4 ounces cheddar cheese
2 garlic cloves, chopped (garlic powder can be substituted)
2 tablespoons butter (optional)
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 pinch salt and pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat grill or pan. Oil, salt and pepper your steak. Cook steak. Grill or pan fry for about five minutes turning only once. Allow to rest for another five minutes. While steak is cooking, prepare the garlic bread. Slice bread in half lengthwise, but don't don't cut all the way through. Spread and toast lightly in a large pan. Mix garlic with butter or oil and spread on bread. Bake in oven at 350 degrees F for 5 minutes. Remove from oven and add mozzarella cheese to one side and the cheddar cheese to the other. Return to oven for five minutes or until cheese is nicely melted. Slice the steak across the grain and place on top of the garlic cheese bread and enjoy.

Steps:

  • Preheat skillet to a high heat. During this time, rub both sides of the meat with salt, pepper and oil. Place meat in a hot skillet, cook for about 3 to 5 minutes on each side. During the process of cooking don't move or flip meat, let it sizzle on each side, trust me it will not burn. To see if it's cooked to your preference you can cut and peek inside. Slice cooked steak into thin long strips. Slice onion into half rings. On a separate skillet, saute onions with a little bit of oil, until golden brown. To prepare butter spread, combine butter together with crushed garlic and diced dill, mix until you get the same consistency. Slice baguette, spread herb butter over both sides of the bread. Form the sandwich in this order; Parmesan cheese, steak, Harvati cheese and caramelized onions, top with the other slice of bread. 7 pepperoncini peppers, de-stemmed, reserve 2 cups pepperoncini juice from jar
2 teaspoons beef stock or 2 beef bouillon cubes
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon oregano
1 tablespoon dried parsley
1 tablespoon dried onion
1 tablespoon paprika
1/3 cup parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon celery seed
4 ounces monterey jack cheese, sliced
8 slices sourdough bread
1 garlic clove
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons mayonnaise

Steps:

  • Put the beef in the crock pot and sprinkle with garlic salt and pepper.
  • Add the remaining ingredients (including pepperoncini juice) EXCEPT the last five, stir, and cook on high for three hours.
  • Coarsely shred beef with a fork and cook an additional hour.
  • While beef is finishing up, toast bread.
  • Cut garlic clove in half and rub on 4 slices of bread and then spread butter on them.

1 tablespoon whole black peppercorn
2 teaspoons red pepper flakes

1 large shallot, thinly sliced
1 ¼ cups water
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
8 oz flank steak
freshly ground black pepper, to taste

  • In a medium saucepan, combine the vinegar, 1 tablespoon salt, the peppercorns, red pepper flakes, carrots, garlic, shallot, and water. Bring to a boil over high heat and cook, stirring to dissolve the salt, for 1 minute. Remove from the heat and let cool to room temperature, about 20 minutes. (If not using immediately, transfer the carrots and their brine to an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.)

1 medium white onion, thinly sliced
13 slices provolone cheese

Steps:

  • Place the loaf of bread on a cutting board with a chopstick on either long side of the loaf. Make 9 equal slices crosswise through the loaf, using the chopsticks to keep from cutting all the way through.
  • Cut around the sides of the bell peppers, discarding the centers with the ribs and seeds, then thinly slice.
  • Season the flank steak all over with salt and pepper.
  • Thinly slice the steak at a 45-degree angle into ½-inch (1 ¼ cm) thick pieces.
  • Heat the oil in a large cast-iron skillet over high heat. Cook the steak for 4 minutes on each side, or until a nice brown crust forms. Remove the steak from the pan and set aside.
