FRESH STRAWBERRY MARGARITAS ON THE ROCKS
These Strawberry Margaritas on the rocks are made from ripe strawberries for a light and refreshing taste. The fresh strawberries make this recipe quite different than a typical strawberry margarita that comes from a frozen machine. Not too sweet and full of flavor.

Steps:
- Wash strawberries and remove green steems.
- Combine strawberries, tequila, Grand Marnier, simple syrup and lime juice together in a blender and blend until smooth.
- Rub a slice of lime around the rim of your glasses and dip into cocktail salt. If you prefer a sugar rim, use simple syrup to wet the rim of the glass and then dip in sugar.
- Fill your glasses with ice and pour in the strawberry margarita mix.
- Garnish with a fresh lime slice and /or strawberry.

- Place strawberries, water and sugar in a medium to large pot on the stovetop. Stir to mix and bring to a boil. Once boiling, turn heat down to low and allow to simmer for 15 minutes. Then, pour mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into a glass or heat-proof container. Let cool and then store in the fridge for up to about 2 weeks. You can use this syrup over ice cream or pancakes or use it to make strawberry milk or pink lemonade!
- Rim the ridge of your glass with a lime wedge and dip in a mix of margarita salt + sugar or just salt, if preferred. [I used about 3 tablespoons salt to 2 teaspoons sugar]. Fill the glass with ice. In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, Grand Marnier, strawberry syrup and lime juice with ice, and shake for about 30 seconds. Pour over ice and squeeze in lime slices and add a few strawberries for garnish.
