This is the best iced tea I've ever tasted. It comes very close to the Good Host® brand we Canadians are used to.

- Place green tea bags and black tea bags in a 1-gallon glass jar. Pour boiling water over tea bags; steep for 30 minutes.
- Remove tea bags; stir in sugar and lemonade concentrate until dissolved. Fill jar to the top with cold water; stir in lemon juice. Chill in the refrigerator until cold. Serve over ice.

- On a stovetop, combine sugar, water and lemon juice in a pan over medium heat.
- Stir until sugar is completely dissolved, being careful to not let syrup come to a boil.
- Let the syrup cool and then store in refrigerator.
- Bring 2 cups of the water to a boil. Once boiled, pour over tea bag(s).
- Let steep for 5 minutes, then remove tea bags.
- Add 2 cups water to the iced tea concentrate.
- To make a pitcher of lemon iced tea, add 1/4 cup lemonade simple syrup to tea. Otherwise, pour tea over ice in individual glasses and stir in lemonade simple syrup to individual preferences.

- Bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
- In a large, heat-proof pitcher/jug, combine the boiling water, baking soda & sugar mix well to dissolve the sugar. Add the tea bags and let steep for 10 minutes (the longer you steep the stronger the taste).
- Remove the tea bags.
- Add the lemon juice and fill the rest of the pitcher/jug with cold water.
- Refrigerate until chilled.
- Add lemon slices and ice to a the glasses and pour the tea over the ice and lemon slices to serve.

- Measure sugar and place in large mixing bowl with 1 cup lemon juice and baking soda. Stir to blend. Bring water to a boil in a saucepan. Remove from heat and place tea bags in the pan to steep for no more than 5 minutes. Remove the bags and discard, being sure not to squeeze the bags. This can release the tannin which causes your tea to taste bitter. Pour hot tea into sugar/lemon mixture and stir to mix well. Transfer into one gallon container and fill to the top with cold water. This sweet tea toes the line between just right and puckery sweet. The formula reflects the way my grandmother Leona Johnson made sweet tea: strong tea, lots of lemon juice and even more sugar. Start by adding half a cup of sugar to the batch, then add up to 4 more tablespoons to your preference. By making it extra potent, tart and sweet, this brew still tastes good even after the ice starts to melt.

- In a tea kettle or medium saucepan, heat 4 cups water until boiling. Remove from the heat and add the tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for 5 minutes. Gently squeeze the bags to release their concentrated tea, then discard the bags. Transfer the tea to a pitcher.
- Stir 1/2 cup sugar into the hot tea until it has dissolved. Stir in the lemon juice. Add 4 cups water, then fill the pitcher with 2 cups ice.
- Taste the tea to determine if you'd like to add up to 4 tablespoons more sugar. If adding sugar, stir until it dissolves.
- Cover and refrigerate until the sweet tea is chilled throughout or up to 2 days. Serve in a large glass filled with ice, and garnish with a lemon slice if you'd like.
SWEET LIME ICED TEA
What's more Southern than sweet iced tea? I've lived in Florida all my life, yet I'm not a huge fan of the overly sweet iced tea that is popular here in the South. My grandma has made this version for as long as I can remember and it is the BEST!! Not too sweet, and not too bitter...and the fresh lime juice --- amazing!!!

- Measure sugar and place in large mixing bowl with 1 cup lemon juice to disolve.
- Measure water and bring to a boil in a saucepan.

- Bring 4 cups of the water to a boil in a medium saucepan and add the tea bags. Remove the pan from the heat, cover it, and allow the tea bags to steep for5 minutes.
- Remove and discard the tea bags. Add the sugar to the saucepan and stir until dissolved. Add the remaining 3 cups water and stir to combine. Transfer the mixture to a pitcher, and add the lemon juice and rum. Chill thoroughly before serving.
