Steps:
- Chop fruit into equally bite-sized pieces. See blog post for lots of ideas, some of our favorite are: Strawberries, orange segments, pineapple, blueberries, mango, and kiwi. Sweeten with sweetener of choice. You can use granulated or powdered sugar, honey, or a low-calorie sweetener of choice. Salsa is great just like this, or feel free to try some of the flavor enhancers below!
- Citrus Juice: Try the juice from a mandarin orange or a squeeze of lemon or lime.
- Flavor if desired. Try a little grated ginger, or fresh chopped mint leaves, or a sprinkle of cinnamon, or top with shredded coconut.

FRUIT SALSA WITH CINNAMON TORTILLA CHIPS
The fun of this recipe is that it can be tailored to your tastes. I'm a 'throw it in and see how it turns out' kind of cook, so please adjust the recipe to fit your own tastes. This recipe is best used immediately, as fresh fruit doesn't keep well in the refrigerator. If you prefer baked cinnamon chips, arrange the tortilla triangles in a single layer on a lightly greased baking sheet. Spray with cooking spray, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon, and bake 5 to 10 minutes in an oven preheated to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Watch them closely so they don't burn!

Both my husband and I were raised on farms, and we prefer home cooking to eating out. That works out fine since I love trying new recipes! I've served this apple salsa as an appetizer and a snack. Plus, it's sweet enough to be a dessert. It's easy to transport besides. -Carolyn Brinkmeyer, Golden, Colorado
