1/2 cup good-quality mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup buttermilk
3 tablespoons fresh minced parsley (OR 1 tablespoon dried parsley)
1 1/2 teaspoons fresh minced dill (OR 1/2 teaspoon dried dill)
1/2 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
Freshly ground black pepper (to taste)

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, and buttermilk until smooth. Stir in parsley, dill, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Blend well and adjust seasonings, to taste.
  • Cover and refrigerate for ideally 8 hours (4 hours at a minimum) or overnight. If the consistency is too thick after chilling, thin out the ranch dressing with a splash of additional buttermilk.

**We strongly recommend using fresh herbs for maximum flavor**
1/2 cup quality mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream (full fat)
1/2 cup buttermilk* ((*use less if you want a thicker dressing or dip))
2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill weed ((or 2 teaspoons dried dill weed))
3 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley ((or 3 teaspoons dried parsley))
2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh chives ((or 2 teaspoons dried chives))
1 1/2 to 2 teaspoons finely minced fresh garlic
1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon white vinegar
1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon cane sugar ((see blog post for explanation))
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
1/4 teaspoon paprika

Steps:

  • Place everything in a blender and pulse until smooth and the herbs are broken down (but do not liquify the herbs, just break down the herbs until they're small green flecks in the dressing). Taste and add more seasonings according to preference. Pour the dressing in an airtight container and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before using, preferably overnight. Will keep in the fridge for up to a week.Makes about 1 1/2 cups of ranch dressing.

1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1 cup real mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup Italian flat-leaf parsley leaves, minced
2 tablespoons fresh dill, minced

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon white vinegar
1/4 teaspoon paprika

Dash hot sauce

Steps:

  • Mince the garlic with a knife and then sprinkle on the salt and mash it into a paste with a fork.
  • In a bowl, combine the garlic paste, mayonnaise, sour cream, parsley, dill, chives, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, vinegar, paprika, cayenne and hot sauce. Add the buttermilk to desired consistency and mix to combine, tasting frequently and adjusting seasonings as needed. I have never been satisfied with store bought or ranch dressing recipes. This one is thick, fresh tasting and doesn't have that "mayonnaise" flavor. Tastes very similar to that dressing from that famed "aussie" steak restaurant if you add paprika and cayenne to it. This is my own recipe and I had a party and served it with fresh veggies and it got rave reviews. Hope you like it.
