The Ultimate Turkey Burgers for Cilantro Lovers image

Turkey burgers and a decadent creamy sauce both bursting with the flavors of garlic, lime and cilantro. Easy, lean, healthy and totally delicious.

1 kg ground turkey
4 cloves garlic (, pressed)
1 bunch green onions (, chopped fine)
1 bunch cilantro (, chopped fine)
1 lime (, juiced)
salt and pepper
1 - 2 tbsp oil
6 buns
whatever toppings you like
1/2 cup light mayo
1 clove garlic (, minced)
1 lime (, juiced)
1/4 cup cilantro (, chopped fine (you can put more if you like too))
1/2 tsp salt

Steps:

  • Make the sauce quickly first. Add all the ingredients to a bowl and mix well. Cover and set aside.
  • Add the turkey, garlic, green onions, cilantro, and lime to a large bowl. Mix till combined, but don't over mix it. Its best to use clean hands for this. Shape the turkey mixture into equal sized balls for burgers (or smaller ones for meat balls)
  • Press the balls to shape into burgers. They should be around 1/2 an inch thick at least. Sprinkle with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Heat a pan on medium high heat. When the pan is hot, add the oil and then the burgers to the pan. Cook for about 4 - 6 mins on each side until the burgers are cooked through. Remove from pan.
  • Serve right away with the cilantro lime sauce, buns, and whatever toppings you like

This Cilantro Turkey Burger is flavorful and incredibly delicious! This is a must make recipe for summer grilling!

1 lb lean ground turkey
1/4 cup Coconut Aminos (Original)
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 cup fresh chopped cilantro
2 tsp olive oil
Creamy Avocado Dressing & Dip

Steps:

  • Add all ingredients EXCEPT THE OLIVE OIL to a large bowl. Use your hands to combine ingredients.
  • Form into four patties. If you're not grilling immediately place the patties on a plate and cover with plastic wrap in the refrigerator. (Ground turkey is very soft and it will firm up the refrigerator. Don't let it sit out any longer than necessary.)
  • Heat the grill to medium-high heat.
  • Brush olive oil on both sides of each burger. Gently place each patty on the grill.
  • Sear until brown, about 5 to 6 minutes. Do not flip your burger too early or it will fall apart. When it's sufficiently browned on one side, flip. Sear remaining side until browned and patty is cooked through, another 5 to 6 minutes. Remove from the grill and serve!

  • Heat a large grill pan or large nonstick skillet coated with cooking spray over medium-high heat. Add turkey patties, and cook 5 minutes on each side or until done.
  • Remove 1 chile and 1 teaspoon adobo sauce from can. Reserve remaining chiles and sauce for another use. Mince the chile. Combine chile, adobo sauce, and ketchup.
  • Place 1 patty on bottom half of each bun; top each patty with 1 tablespoon chipotle ketchup and 1 lettuce leaf. Cover with top halves of buns.
