  • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Stir in cocoa and vanilla. Place confectioners' sugar in a large bowl. Pour in cocoa mixture. Beat well (mixture will be extremely thick). Beat in milk, a teaspoon at a time, until desired consistency is achieved.

5 Toblerone chocolate bars
1/2 cup cream
1/2 cup unsalted butter
2 cups confectioners' sugar

Steps:

  • Over low heat melt Toblerone bars with cream until chocolate is melted.
  • In a separate bowl cream butter until fluffy.
  • Add confectioner sugar until mixture is fluffy.
  • Pour chocolate mixture in sugar/butter until well blended.
  • If mixture is too soft, add more confectioners sugar.
  • This makes enough frosting for a 8 inch layer cake.

A great recipe that you will want to make every time you bake!

Steps:

  • Heat the oven to 180C Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.One by one stir in the eggs, then fold in the flour and coco powder. Cut up about 3 - 5 pieces of toblerone and cut them up and stir them into the mixture so they melt in the oven. When you put the mixture into the cases make sure each one has some toblerone in. Place mixture into cupcake cases and bake for 10 - 15 minutes.
  • Allow the cakes to cool on a cooling rack for about 15 minutes. When they are completely cool start making the topping.
  • Beat the butter so it is light and fluffy and easy to use. Add the icing sugar, pinch of salt and vanilla essence with an electric whisk until well blended. Lastly add your cream cheese 1 tablespoon at a time and mix slowly. I usually use a piping bag to put the topping on to make it look better or an icing set. Finally when the icing is on the cakes grate the rest of the toblerone and sprinkle on the top. Eat and enjoy!

1 cup powdered icing sugar
1/8 teaspoon baking powder
3 cups cake flour
1 cup cornstarch
250 g Toblerone chocolate bars, chopped
powdered sugar, for dusting

Steps:

  • Cream butter and icing sugar well together until light and fluffy.
  • Sift flour and cornstarch and baking powder together and add into sugar mixture.
  • Fold in the chopped chocolate toblerone candy bar.
  • Blend all well.
  • Roll into large cookie balls, about 2 inches.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 11 minutes.
  • Remove, cool, dredge in powdered sugar if desired.
